Finals tonight:
Women’s 200: absolutely loaded field
Women’s long jump: only 3 with standard but a few have the ranking currently to get in. Tight cluster around that 3rd spot based on SB
Women’s shot: tight cluster of athletes and some new faces like Brock Lesners daughter Mya
Womens 10k: this one’s interesting. Only one athlete with the standard so they’re going to have to push the pace. Wouldn’t be surprised to see it thin out to a pack of 6 or so by 5k.
Men DT: 4 athletes with the standard and 2 more with the ranking to get in. Could be close late
Men 200: loaded field. Noah Lyles with a real chance to reset the American Record with Kenny Bednarak and Eryion Knighton giving chase. If the top athletes compete as they should today this may be a 1-3 sweep opportunity for the US in Paris

Feel like Gabby Thomas and Sha’Carri should finish 1-2 in some order. Not sure about the 3rd spot.

Gonna guess this will be Tara Davis then Jasmine Moore but not sure about the 3rd spot again. Both former Dawgs who ended their college careers elsewhere.

This is gonna be so much fun.

It's kind of amazing how many elite track athletes Georgia has had, only for almost all o them to transfer to bigger, more heralded programs like Florida or Arkansas, etc.
UGA has always scouted extremely well, but I guess these athletes end up going to program with many more Olympic and international coaching connections for the exposure and networking. .

Probably Steiner or Long. I thought I read somewhere that their history goes back to high school.

Hopefully that caries to Steiner. Would love to see her in this team

US women’s 100 hurdles with some great athletes.
Not quite at the level of the men’s 110 were a sweep it probably the most likely outcome, but we have maybe 5 of the top 10 in the world on the women’s side, as well.
Who are the other UK people besides Keni Harrison and Masai Russell?

Andrew Evans (Kentucky) throwing discus is leading.
I wasn’t for sure if Sydney McLaughlan-Verone is running tonight (another Kentucky alum). And Abby Steiner will be in that 200m final.

Gabby Thomas was rolling. Man.

Looked like Richardson and Steiner kinda gave up at the end.

It’s those long strides. She looks so much more efficient than the other runners.

Got 4th.

Brittany Brown ran a PB and took Sha’Carri’s spot.
But I believe the Brittany Brown time is better than anything Sha’Carri has run before

Looked slow from the jump (comparatively). Pulled up at the line but was out of it by then anyway.
