Damn, looks like it might have. I was pretty shocked that his ball didn't come down off the hill. Maybe it was because he took it straight at the flag instead of wrapping it around the right side? Either way, he had a lightning fast putt for the eagle.

If the ball would have gone farther into the green, it would have come down farther.

How bout that USGA tradition to end the U.S. open with a par 4? Yeah, that par 5 18th hole sure was a snoozer.

The more I watch Dustin Johnson's 3 foot putt, the more I think that it bounced. Too bad we never got that close up angle of it to find out for sure.

So DJ's shitty putting stroke on the short ones all week had nothing to do with it. It was the greens. Lulz

In other golf related news, I just looked at the world golf rankings.

In March 2014, Tiger was ranked #1.

Today, Eldrick is ranked #205.

Wow, what a fall.

Play many tracks up there in Colorado? Coming in a few weeks and playing Riverdale Dunes course and Ballyneal.

Used to, but I had to give it up about 7 years ago because of a bad lower back.

And earlier this year, maybe before or after the Masters, I can't remember, several on this board were calling for two majors for Tiger this year.

And several still thought he would make a run at Jack's record.

I wonder how many still are holding on to those predictions.

Like a rock.

And contrary to what TW says I don't think this new swing is going to work. If Butch doesn't take him back then he needs to watch tapes of his swing in the early 2000s and take that swing to the range for a couple of weeks.

Prove it. I'm a huge Tiger fan , but before The Masters I was concerned he may be done.

I'm pretty sure threeputt was on record as having said that Tiger was gonna win two majors this year. I had it bookmarked, but that little nerd went through and deleted all his shite.

I think it's a two-pronged mental thing with Tiger. First, he's gotten so involved in mechanics and changing his swing so frequently that it makes no sense: he's got to get more feel back in his game. Secondly, the whole cheating/divorce scandal fricked him in the head and gave him a sense of low self-worth. He's got to come to terms with that before he can come back I think.

Here's the thing, I just don't see Tiger gaining back that confidence & swagger he had when he was dominating. You don't just flip a switch and get that back. Not to mention he's facing a field that won't be scared of him again. That Tiger Woods is gone. Also for right or wrong, Tiger deals with more bullshite than anyone else on tour. He shoots an 80, everyone piles on. Rory or Phil miss a cut, nobody really cares. When Jack had bad rounds, he didn't have thousands of people on Twitter calling him out. David Feherty made that point and I agree. That stuff takes a toll on a person and golf is such a mental game that even someone as tough as Tiger has a breaking point.

Tiger seemed to get his game back two years ago and who knows what happens if he doesn't hit the flag stick at the 2013 Masters. Maybe all he needs to do is win one major to get the mojo back...but winning that one could be a monumental task considering the depths he's at right now. He desperately needs to come out and have a good first or second round in a tournament. He has a nasty trend lately of stumbling out of the gate which makes him scramble for the rest of the tournament.

All I know is that in order to beat Jack's record, Tiger needs 5 majors, which means he needs to have a finish that would equate to Phil Mickelson's career. That's a tall order for someone who just topped a ball on #18 in the US Open.

That thing bounced three freaking times!! What an absolute shitshow of a course to end like that

It's golf, stuff like this happens all the time, and Dustin knows that.
