I guess it’s plausible, but would be extremely odd if the thing that gets him fired is the only non-violent thing he’s being accused of.

Still kept him around. It's perplexing. I mean Ray Rice and Peterson happened in 2014 and Baylor was in 2015. It's not like you weren't aware of the severity of these things.

I never liked Urban Meyer. He is one of few who can hold his own against nick saban.

If he reported the incident in 2015 and that can be corroborated then he’s fine. I don’t even know why he would have been suspended.

ETA - I mean, Urban said he even called people at the office to ask about a 2015 incident and they had no anything happened.
Now he's saying it was reported.
I actually believe him that he reported it, but that's the most ridiculous lie you can tell.

An experienced public speaker like him knows damn well how to deflect or refuse to answer at this time. Maybe it was a momentary screw up. But who knows.
Because it sounds better that he didn't know rather than he knew and still kept the guy on his staff regardless if he reported it.
Media would be even more incredulous - so what if you reported it - the fact is you knew and kept an alleged wife-beater on your staff.
