Pens took it to the Kings last night, and another shutout for MAF.

This Pens team has a completely different feel than years past. Very excited with what I'm seeing.

And this Pens PP may be the best in the League in years. It's not even fair right now how good it is. I mean we are still converting on 40% of our PP's.

This Geno to Kunitz slap pass was filthy, with Horny screening.

Speaking of power plays, I'm at a loss for why the Blackhawks power play is so bad year after year. With the talent and speed on that team, they should be converting way more than they do.

Do you guys realize that Minnesota still hasn't scored a PP goal yet this year? Only team in the league.

They are 0/27, even Buffalo at least has 1.

Tarasenko has been very good to start the season. He'd have 3-4 more goals, if he would shoot, and not play with the puck so much being fancy.

When he gets off the quick shot, he buries it

It's a new week. Predators still on top of their division and the Rangers still figuring out if they want to play hockey.

Rangers Play:
- St. Louis
- Detroit (national TV! )
- Toronto (auto win!)
- Edmonton (looking better each week)

I think they take 2 out of the 4. They surely can't be as bad as their record indicates. I don't think they get out of their funk, but I figure they go .500.

Nashville plays:
- Winnipeg
- Dallas
- St. Louis

I feel like they beat Winnipeg and St. Louis - Dallas I'm not so sure. If Dallas loses to LA on Tuesday, they would have lost 4 straight (2 of which coming in OT). I just don't see them dropping a 5th. I would love it but I don't see it happening.

Pens recall Scott Harrington as Maatta is now out until he returns from his Thyroid surgery. Timetable of 3-4 weeks.

True, but their defense should at least look somewhat similar to last years. They didn't have Dan Boyle last year. Hank is off his game.

Good news is that McIlrath just got called up to the big leagues. Finally a dude with a spine that can regulate (if it turns out he figured out how to skate).

Where is Baloo amid this Caps 4 game skid and giving up 6 goals to frickin' Arizona?

I need updates on the suckage of Orpik and Niskanen.

I do see Orpik's god awful fenwick/corsi that Baloo always uses.

Orpik's Relative Corsi is at -9.0 (worst of his career), it was -4.1 last year and -7.9 year before. His FF%rel is even worse, at -10.6, again the worst of his career by a mile (-7.2 is his worst full season).

Is he really that much worse than last year? Good god I couldn't even imagine.

Niskanen's numbers so far are down even more than Orpik's, to no surprise to me. Nisky ended his career year last year with a 7.3 CF%rel and 6.4 FF%rel. He's at -2.4 and -3.2 right now.

He's probably too busy laughing his arse off at this morning's Puck Daddy:

I read that earlier, was hilarious.

The shot at Del Zotto's awful career was the funniest part.

Nope, Dallas gave them their first of the year, and then another, on Saturday.

Del Z was all right until he got a concussion on 24/7. Then he forgot where the Blue line is and ruined every power play he was involved in

Tarasenko with another goal, this time a show stopper. Crowd at MSG goes "oooooooooh" as goal is replayed.
