Meh he might not have taken "steroids" but he has access to treatments like stem cells and platelet blood therapy which he has acknowledged as much. There have also been several peculiar "injuries" and time away from the tour followed by miraculous comebacks time and time again. Anyways to say that his hair loss is due to PED'S is unfair. If the ATP says he's good to go then he's good to go.

Love seeing Fed back in the finals, but hate that he's going to face Nadal again in what will likely be his final shot to get another GS. If Nadal is back in a GS Final, then he is playing well. And if he is playing well, Fed has no shot. Nadals' game/style is just a bad match-up for Fed, all around. He wlll just pound, pound, and pound Federer's one backhand with his left handed forehand and take Federer out in straight sets.

Me too. Would rather him lose to Djokovic than Nadal. But a victory over Nadal would be the sweetest.

This. I think he may be able to pull it up. Nadal has been a pain in Feds arse for so long.

Love how fast Fed plays on his service games. When he gets rolling it is a thing of beauty. Much more enjoyable to watch vs the others that take a full 25 (I know 20)seconds between serves.
Hopefully, he can slay the Nadal demon with a victory in the final but Nadal will have a tough match to get through. 4 set win for Nadal that sets up a epic final Battle between him and Roger would be awesome for the sport of tennis. IMHO. Although I can see why some want new blood at the top, as long as that's not Andy (I'm a whiney britch) Murray then I'm fine with some one like Dimitrov winning and I like the Szervev (sp) kid

Is anyone more surprised that Nadal is in the semis with a leg up to win it all? He didn't reach a quarter last year.

I think I am the only one is this thread that does not like Fed and wants him pummeled. It is a shame though it has to be Rafa that does it though.
Fed to me in this thread is the face and Rafa is the heel. Guess I want the hero to die in the end. So did Shane die or not?

I'm sure there are others; what about Fed do you not like?
There is really only 1 in mens that I can say I just really don't like at all and that is Andy Murray. Most of the guys seem pretty likeable, give respect to the game and their opponents.
But damn, Andy seems like a complete prick, constantly whines, Bitches and mouths off in the direction of the opponent. I can't stress this enough, I don't like Andy Murray.

It's a shame you have dislike for one of a ICON in the history of sports.....

I have a dislike for you sometimes, is that a shame also?

I am a Sampras guy through and through. I do not like the way Fed carries himself. It is nothing with the way he plays, it is not about results (although I feel he got into the spotlight when they homogenized the game), I just do not like him. I did not ever say there was a rationality about it either.
If you have followed the GS threads past couple years I am consistent on what I believe in terms of Fed, playing style, and Sampras.
ETA:
I do not think Sampras is the GOAT either, go see earlier in thread.

I am not the one you have been watching for the last 18 years playing great tennis...... the dude is a GREAT tennis player..... if you think he is a jerk, that's in you......

I used to dislike Roger, but mainly because I liked Rafa so much. Always respected Federer's brilliance, but something about him was a little offputting. But what he is doing now at his age is nothing short of phenomenal. I may be more impressed with what he's done in his 30s than what he did in his 20s(which is arguably the best in history). To an amazing Fed/Nadal final.

That's a really good question.
I have to say yes due to the playing surface, the weather, and the fact that Federer is more naturally talented. Roger can take off 6 months and regain his form quicker than most guys.
Nadal just looked done. Even if you told me pre-tourney that Murray and Djokovic would be knocked out early, I would have said Rafa basically had no shot on a hard court. Is Carlos Moya paying dividends already?

Nadal isn't playing so far behind the baseline right now so yeah.

Agree with all of this. To me, there is a smugness and arrogance to Fed that just always rubbed me the wrong way. I always loved Rafa because of how humble he genuinely seemed.
I do agree, however, that my feelings toward Fed have definitely improved over time. His rivalry and genuine struggle against Rafa really humanized him to me. I know, going way out there on a limb with my thoughts on this one, but that's how I've always seen the two.
I'm more worried about Rafa's semi matchup than I am about the finals. If Rafa makes it, I see it unfolding like many of yal do although I have almost no doubt Fed comes out smoking and wins the first set like 6-3.

I'm trying hard to keep an open mind towards Vandeweghe but honesty she's just unlikable
I like watching her actual tennis play but she's cocky as hell (confirmed to me by a low level tour player who has interacted with her repeatedly) and not well liked (at least according to this player). I'm not a huge Williams sisters fan (like Venus more than Serena) but Coco's act on the court is kind of off putting and I was rooting for Venus.

Coco is annoying, but the WTA kind of needs some tough broads at the top. Love Venus. Don't really like Serena, but she seems to have matured a lot or at least acts better the last year or so.
It's always interesting to see how people feel about Fed/Nadal. I am kind of a Fedtard, but I recognize that the class act thing is a bit phony at times because he can say some childish butthurt things after losses. Nadal by all accounts is the greatest guy in the world off the court. That said, I really don't like his game, can't stand his tics and on-court conduct, and
when injuries seem to explain his losses. However, I appreciate the guy now more than ever as he enters his later years.

Not a lot of WTA players I can think of that I really like at the moment. The hot ones?
My only issue with Fed (who is probably one of my all time favorite players) is that he doesn't seem to give enough credit to his opponent when he losses. I think that's a bit of being the competitor that he is...always thinking he can do better, etc., and not unlike others. But I can see it irritates people. I absolutely cannot stand Murray's act on the court, yelling at his box etc. So glad Zverev beat him. I've come to like watching Joker play the last couple years. It's not much but he at least applauds great shots by the opponent, which I like.
Rafa's ticks annoy the *** out of me. But I actually love his lefty game, his fight, and his humbleness. It would be a great matchup - don't **** it up Grigor!!
