Will you actually have some balls and actually refute some of these posts instead of drive-by, ghost down-voting like a little bitch?

Refute what? He is typical of someone who plays tennis and had Spanish as his first language.

Melodramatic “injuries”, quirks, and if he could call his own lines you better play the ball a foot inside the lines or it’s out

For fricks sake in college tennis we had to change the damn rules and play net cords on serves becasue evey damn Spaniard and South American simply called a let anytime they were aced

And don’t think I’m letting Djok and his kind off the hook. An Eastern European is the closest I have come to death

They will hook your balls off on the court, and then grope every woman they see at a bar. Almost got killed at JLs one night. Ole Eastern Euro teammate followed a girl in the bathroom and grabbed a handful of arse. Her guy friends were not amused. Thank god pride knows how to scrap a little bit and it was 10 of us vs 5 of them

After the scuffle settled I asked him what the frick he was doing. And with a terminator accent he said “she was a woman. I am man. It’s allowed for me to be happy”

Only tennis players I cheer for speak English or non-Spanish euros

Kyrgios in his presser saying his and Rafa’s match will be most viewed of all time.

Going to be tough for Rafa if his abdomen is giving him trouble. Will be hard to break nick’s serve.

I know nick hasn’t beaten djokovic in a grand slam, but his 2-0 record against him makes it a little more intriguing if they face each other in the final. I think he’ll give Novak way more trouble than Nadal if he were to face him in the final

Melodramatic “injuries”,

You're talking about a man who many argue is the toughest competitor not just in tennis history but in the history of sports, period.

And you say shite like that.

And you wonder why nobody takes you seriously.

Bummer that Kyrgios isn't getting any ATP points out of this.

Nobody has ever argued Lebron is the toughest competitor in the history of sports. Nobody. Ever.

And Serena is a chick so that's different.

Bottom line is that anybody who plays like Nadal is going to get pulls, strains and the like. You suggesting they are all made up is just high silliness and should be dignified no further.

Name all the competitors to come back from 3-1 down in an nba finals……

Name all the female sports stars to be born in a trash ghetto and become the greatest in their sport?

And yet, still melodramatic. You know why? It’s a mental crutch for them that allows them to compete and not feel fear.

This is an interesting take. He’s definitely got the best hand-eye coordination I’ve ever seen in tennis, and I think if he’d have gone to a baseball school as a kid and dedicated his life to it, he could have certainly made the bigs and been really good. Not sure he was big enough at 5’10” to have had the requisite power to make the HOF playing in the late 80s/90s. He’d have probably been a great defensive middle infielder, though.

Well, I'm obviously just speculating, but his hand-eye is elite of the elite of the elite, and in way that is perfectly suited to hitting a baseball.

Your point about his height is not unfair. I actually think he's 5'11", though, and was pretty stout in the shoulders at his best playing a game where's it's actually pretty difficult to be stout. My point being is that I suspect he could have been strong af in a way that rewards baseball players if he had trained in that manner.

Agassi is by far my favorite tennis player of all-time, and I like Rafa the best of the current big 3. Pretty clear Rafa is your favorite of the big 3 and likely of all-time, but I seem to have picked up over the years your appreciation for Agassi and would guess he was probably your favorite of that era. Am I crazy or does there seem to be some correlation with people being fans of 1, being fans of the other? Is there some similar quality they have/had that makes them attractive to the same people? Is it as simple as they competed at the highest level without having big serves against guys who did

Probably just a coincidence. I was def a big Agassi fan, though. I hated Sampras, but have really come to appreciate him in hindsight.

quote:

Or is my perception wrong? Like I bet guys who liked Sampras probably liked Fed the best. Or could it be those fans liked the aesthetics of Pete and Roger’s 1-handed backhands and I appreciate the skill of Andre and Rafa’s 2-handeds? Or I could be full of shite and seeing things that aren’t really there.

I think there is probably some correlation between fans of Roger and Pete, which is likely rooted either in the aesthetics of their game, their attacking styles, or some combo of both.

He still shouldn't have cashed in his chips at focking age 18, though. The ladies love them some fritzy. Homeboy coulda pulled a lotta strange for a lotta years and then still ended up with a hot wife, and one just as young as his wife was when he walked the plank with her.
