Wally World was a much better athlete and quicker. McDermott is not that. He can hang on the end of benches in the NBA or shine in Europe.

He's good everywhere. He will be good in the nba. He's more athletic than people give me him credit for.

IMO he appears to be better than those two. But you really won't know until he starts playing. You'd think Jimmer would have some of the same success JJ Redick has had, but I guess JJ really was good enough.

I mean, the white thing is pretty important here unfortunately. He's only hyped as much as he is because he's a white guy that scores a lot of points for a mid-major (just like Szerbiak, Fredette and Morrison). That hype belies the talent in all three players, which is not sufficient for the NBA.

WAYYYY more athletic than Morrison. Not that comparable.
And McDermott is much more bigger and physical than Morrison. And way more efficient. Morrisons best season isnt as good as McDermotts worst, efficiency wise. And McDermotts a way better rebounder.

You overrate him. It's a debate that will be played out on the court though. I hope he makes it -- how could you not?

Is he going to be an all star? Doubt it. But he can be a guy off the bench. Theres always a need for deadly 3pt shooters in the NBA. He can def do that.
If he was black, there wouldnt be nearly as many of these questions about him. Is he an elite athlete? No. But hes def a good enough athlete.

You can keep saying the same things. He isn't athletic enough to be more than an end of the bench guy. Will he grow into a Ryan Anderson-like marksman as a stretch four? That's his only chance of being more than a 12th man type.
