That's because you'd have beaten the undefeated team already on Sunday night. Monday is winner take all.

ULL will play Jackson State Sunday afternoon and Mississippi State Sunday night. Then Mississippi State again Monday night.

In the old format you had to do this

play early elimination game, rest a game then play another elimination game.

Sunday had to play DH if it got to if game.

That is what I am talking about

Now you play possibly twice tomorrow and once Monday. So it takes away the back to back double headers if there is an if game.
