Sal D'Amato with the shady judging.

Cruz is a tough SOB man. Can hardly walk but won't let anyone help him walk out of the arena..

They should do faber tj and give cruz time to heal. I think faber tj is the most interesting fight at this point and prob the bigger money fight out of all of the options.

I mean, how can you have a sport where the judges only agree on one out of five rounds.

Love Urijah, but TJ would murder him at this point in their careers. I would like to see it from a "beef" angle, but it would not be close. Faber would take him 5 rounds though, he is one of the toughest SOB's I have ever seen in mma.

The 10 point must for MMA is a joke. The scoring system needs to be overhauled asap. I would rather score the fight as a whole than this shite. I mean, you can out jab a guy by one punch in the first 2 rounds then get your arse handed to you in the 3rd and still win a fight. Did that guy really win the fight? No! But with this shitty system he does.

Here is the Fightmetric.

That's because judges dont rule 10-8 rounds correctly enough and no.matter the murdwr they never go 10-7.the dl t reward the fighters and allow a pull away victory sl thats why so many people just point it up safely..no reward in sticking chin in there

I agree with you 100%.

I thinks its mostly because the judges suck. Guys from the sport should be judging.

They better get their scoring shite together - find a new system - they're within a c$*t hair of making the sport like boxing with these controversial decisions. But, best to leave it out their hands as Dana preaches...

to the naked untrained eye, I'd have given Cruz the decision by a very slim margin.
Somehow a Fighting Championship Organization doesn't take the whole of the fight into consideration.
Nor do they ever enforce their own rules. Travis Browne should have been DQ'd and given a loss for his blatant eye pokes. frick that dude.

The ref in the Browne fight wasn't on his game. It's getting frustrating how many of these new refs pop up. You have a lot of established vets, but it seems like there is a revolving door of refs for the undercard now more than ever.
I will say that the UFC has done a fantastic job with the drug testing revamp and its amazing how many people look completely different physically. Feels like we are getting a cleaner sport.
Its not even that guys may have been abusing steroids. They may have been able to get away with "banned" substances to a lesser degree and now just don't want to chance it. Even Dominic Cruz lost a ton of muscle. Go back and look at his fight with Faber a few years back.
My point is that I do have some faith in the UFC to work with the athletic commissions to revamp judging/reffing. It is likely a VERY tall order, but they have done very well with fighter safety in a lot of areas. The health insurance and drug testing are taken care of, and now maybe this can be the final piece.
We won't get into fighter pay and the business model. Another story for another day.

Don't blame the UFC; the state picks the judges.

It's a very solid card. Any card you can put Pettis, Cruz, Alvarez, and Dillishaw has a lot of flare. So whats the predictions for the main card?
T.J. Dillashaw
Anthony Pettis
Matt Mitrione
Ross Pearson
Hope you didn't bet any money

rumble vs bader should be a good one. bader better grab rumble as soon as he can. I know he has tried moving and throwing punches a little more lately, but if he tries that shite with rumble, he is going to wake up asking what happened.
Posted on 1/18/16 at 7:26 pm to diat150
it might last a little longer than we expect but Rumble should have his way.
