I still don't understand the 12-6 rule either. Is this only illegal when you're in top position?

That isn't a 12-6

A 12-6 is not possible coming from that angle

12-6 is only possible from top, dropping it straight down with no arc. Like pulling the air horn on a semi.

If there is any arc at all it isn't a 12-6. So, if the forearm isn't parallel with your own spine, 12-6 is pretty much impossible. 12-6 is also not relative. So dropping the elbow from the bottom even in line with the spine does not make it an illegal 12-6

It is the stupidest rule in the world and the reasoning behind it is even stupider

Yeah that wasn't even in the realm of a 12-6. I love hearing joe Rogan rail on the stupidity of that rule. He gets worked up.

Preview: UFC 186 ‘Johnson vs. Horiguchi’

THE PICK:This is too much, too soon for Horiguchi, who is extraordinarily talented but lacks the polish and experience necessary to beat a fighter as crafty as Johnson. With that said, Horiguchi is tricky, confident and lethally dangerous, and all it takes is one or two shots for him to end the fight at any time. Johnson can match Horiguchi’s speed and movement, and I expect him to use his leg and body kicks to cut off Horiguchi’s angles in space and slowly wear him down. If Johnson can pin him against the fence, he will use the clinch for the same purpose. By the later rounds, Johnson’s cardio and top game should come into play, and he should either be well ahead on the cards due to his superior work rate or even have an opening to finish. The pick is Johnson by wide decision.

THE PICK: This is a tough fight to pick. On the one hand, Dollaway has looked increasingly good on the feet, lands more powerful shots and is obviously the better wrestler. On the other, Bisping is hard to take down or control in the clinch and should have a drastic advantage in work rate and volume. While a Dollaway win would not surprise me, even in dominating fashion, I lean toward Bisping on that basis. In a fight that consists mostly of striking exchanges and some work in the clinch, the pick is Bisping by decision.

THE PICK: This looks like a competitive fight. I expect Jackson to handily win the first round and perhaps hurt the hittable Maldonado, but if he expends too much energy looking for the finish -- especially given his interrupted training camp -- the durable Brazilian could easily stage a comeback in the second and third frames. Jackson could use his wrestling to slow Maldonado and effectively shorten the fight, but that seems somewhat unlikely. Still, even the past-prime version of Jackson has to be considered the favorite here. The pick is Rampage by close 29-28 decision.

The card sold so poorly that they were forced to close off the top section of the arena and move the fans to the bottom.

They should just move all of the crowd to one side and make it look full like WCW used to do in their dying days.
I also have a bad feeling that Rampage won't come close to making weight.

It's catchweight (215 I believe), but it doesn't really matter. Nothing about this event is legit.

At least we're only 30 days from 187 now.

I wonder what's the over/under on how many times Fabricio is going to lay on his back and motion for Cain to come and get into his guard.

I tried for 2 minutes, and that owner of the Blackzillians was absolutely unbearable.

I don't blame him for that because Overoid was juiced to the gills.

Fabricio' standup striking (at a distance) is much better than Cain's.

Cain will try to get in close, clinch, & pressure. Werdum will try and keep the distance and strike. Cain will be the only one looking to take the fight to the ground early on imo. Both will probably try to keep it standing though until they get hurt.

I agree. I think Cain's game plan will be same as what he did to Junior. Put him up against the cage and lean on him and beat him up. If Werdum can circle out and stay off the cage it could make for an interesting fight.

I thought the fight on TUF was decent. The owners "beef" seems to be manufactured. Both teams seem to be filled with douches.

And the Askren fight just ended in a nc because of Ben eye gouging his opponent.

Edit: He was LOSING too.

Weren't you the one accusing Dana of being "scared" of him?

"This is embarrassing," said an angry Askren. "I knew that the strategy and what I heard from people was he comes out strong early then he's going to look for a way out. And it's unfortunate that his way out came this way. He's lived in America for five years. I know he understands ‘get up,' I know he understands ‘yes' or ‘no.' I don't even know what to say. Let's fight again as soon as possible, maybe next week, maybe two weeks. You looked for a way out. I'm going to give you a better way out next time."

What a joke.
