Feel like Polastri was riding the high of the Kovalkawiecz victory and was a bit overconfident.

Waited to get started a bit in the first. Then more windup feints and stomps than actual good hard hits.

DC is such a clown. He can't see past his biases to see what is happening in front of him.

He's had some forgetful moments recently, hopefully it was just momentary.

why would he? He looked like he lost all 3 rounds to me. Got knocked hard in the first after neither guy doing anything. Then got out hit in the 2nd and 3rd.

I wasn't glued to the fight, but he seemed to be connecting more and controlling in rounds 1-2. He definitely caused more visible damage.

he didn't. He was barely winning the first round until he got knocked silly with the biggest strike of the fight. He got handled after that, though not to a crazy extent.

I'm looking at the fight stats now. Definitely a lot closer than I thought. Valenzuela had a slight edge in significant strikes. Griffin had a slight edge in takedowns and damage.

Griffin did no damage during that fight. He landed zero shots that stung Valenzuela. I don't care what stats say. That fight was about 95% both guys playing paddy cake. Valenzuela stole the first with a big shot at the end of the round. He landed one more semi-big shot in either the 2nd or 3rd. Also, Valenzuela was the aggressor.

It was a pretty bad fight by both fighters with very little significant strikes.

Looked like he caught Filo with a good one, then Filo gassed out toward the end it looked like.

What do we think about Aljo? Feels like his confidence took a shot after losing to O'Malley. Then has to switch weight classes because of his friendship with Merab.

Beat Ortega in China.

Aljo is a beast. He is toward the end of his career but has looked solid in all of his fights. Tbh I think he beats omañley 9 out of 10 times and didn’t take him seriously and the ufc forced him into the fight with a quick turnaround when he was injured. Big fan of aljo.
