Neither had definitely taken over the fight until the eye poke, which allowed Song to edge out round 3. One of the judges had Cejudo winning the fight and a second had Cejudo winning one of three rounds. How does that equate to someone "getting his arse beat"?

Edit: I misheard. Judges scored it 29-28, 29-28, and 30-27, which means two of the judges gave Cejudo one of the rounds. The third round for Song was obviously debatable.

yea Cejudo was definitely acting his arse off and looking for a way out.

however, in fairness to him, he did finish that final minute and he did get poked pretty badly. his left eye was bleeding and that shite sucks. Song kept opening his hand and leaving his fingers out even after 3 different warnings as well.

if anything, Cejudo should have just said he couldn't continue during the initial 5-minute break and the fight would have been ruled a No Contest.

He might not be sure of it, but he is sure that Henry isnt putting on exciting fights. What has he shown in his last 3 fights? Nothing that warrants his position on the card. He's washed.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills with some of you people. Henry was clearly telling Herzog he couldn't see clearly out of his left eye. Herzog even replied to Cejudo that he didn't think it would clear up. To which Cejudo said, "you think? I've never been poked in the eye like this". That was with about a minute or 2 left of the 5 minutes window.

Herzog can he heard on camera telling Song that Cejudo was waiting for his vision to clear up. Then, Herzog never verifies after 5 minutes whether Cejudo can see. Just restarts the match without further conversation with a doctor or Henry, after 100% knowing that he couldn't see clearly from his eye.

Then, Cejudo dodges Song the rest of the round, goes to his corner saying he can't see. They wipe his eye and you can hear the corner say, "yeah, there's blood in your eye."

How in the frick are you guys blaming anyone but Song or Herzog here?

it's the ref and doctor's responsibility to stop the fight when the fighter clearly tells both of them that he can't see. He did that. Herzog responded to Cejudo that he didn't think it would clear up in a minute. Herzog also told Song that Cejudo couldn't see.

It is the refs job to stop that fight. Not ignore something that he knows for a fact. It would be different if Cejudo lied to him. Herzog didn't even ask him if he could see after the 5 minutes was up. Just ignored the facts he knew and restarted the round.

Herzog pussied out of his responsibility and then went over the top to frick up and have this go to a decision. All while ignoring multiple kicks to the groin and 2 eye pokes.

Refs almost always give fighters the option there. He asked cejudo many times. Cejudo decided he was going to spend his time whining about herzog not taking a point
