Colby has always been a game fighter but he should've fought a weight class lower he doesn't have enough power for welterweight.

I just said the same thing. She winced from the blood on his face. Not saying it shouldn’t have been stopped, but that’s embarrassing

She could have at least let them clean it to get a good assessment.

Dude was just taking a beating. No reason to take a chance getting his eye even more destroyed. Clearly not Colby of old got him down twice did nothing and couldn’t even hold him down.

100%. She wanted to stop it before the third round even started.

Colby had fire up until after the Masvidal win in early 2022 and then he started sitting out for crazy amounts of time in between fights.

you simply can't do that when you're in your mid-30's in a sport like this.... you can't sit and wait for years to take a fight.

pretty sure Covington accepted his career role a few years ago, and has just been taking the main event paycheck ever since.

tonight however completely demolishes any fighting credibility that he had left though. he'll be selling fights on OnlyFans or with Jake Paul by the summer.

He let that fame get to his head and turned more into a wrestling persona than stay focused as a fighter.

Problem is you don't stay relevant long if you start losing

That just makes too much sense at this point

Colby is one of the best self promoters ever. Dude went from literally nobody knowing who he was to hanging with the president

After the fight was over, they fixed up Colby's eye and it didn't look like the worst slice we've ever seen. Irene Aldana's was worse, it looked like you could see her skull / brain.

But nobody wants to see someone's eyelid get ripped off and just have a bare eye exposed and blood spraying everywhere. They took that possibility off the table.

His cover is blown. No one will take that dude serious anymore. I’d be shocked if that isn’t his last main event.

That was a crazy amount of blood for an eyelid. Granted, I’m no medical expert.

Yeah it was like a thick coagulated blood. A lot was on Buckley knee but on the mat there was a huge stain from it. Yuck

Dana said in the presser that in Vegas that fight isn't stopped. I think he's right.

He hasn’t beat a good fighter in their prime well before that

Masvidal was washed by then
