I'm not talking about Pancrase.

Anyone remember Kimbo vs. Ray Mercer and Kimbo wanted zero to do with standing with Mercer?
Posted on 6/12/15 at 4:47 am to SmackDaniels
Was that after Mercer ktfo out Sylvia?

Why would any mma fighter try and trade with a former HW boxing champion? Smart move by Kimbo. T Sylvia is probably wishing he would've done the same.

whats the predictions on cain vs fabricio?
I could see this one going either way, although a healthy cain is a bad mofo.

THE PICK: Unless the repeated injuries have utterly ruined Velasquez, this fight is his to lose. Werdum does have paths to victory, namely snatching a submission from his guard, getting Velasquez down and working from the top or landing a big strike on the feet, but none of those options seems particularly likely. “Vai Cavalo” is not a big puncher; Velasquez’s takedown defense has been outstanding; and the American can maintain a much higher level of offensive output for much longer than Werdum. If Velasquez does take it to the ground, it will likely be in the later rounds, when sweat and blood will make it difficult to lock in a submission. The most likely scenario involves the champion pressuring Werdum toward the fence and taking away the space necessary to work his aggressive combination striking game, diving into the clinch and grinding away for extended periods until the Brazilian tires. Once he does, I expect him to work takedowns and pound away from top position. The pick is Velasquez by knockout due to ground strikes in the third round.

You know I don't think I've ever seen a Cain Velazquez fight. I only started getting back into UFC about a year and a half ago. I was wondering to myself why I'm not at all hyped for the HW title match and looking more forward to Melendez v Alvarez, Drew Dober and especially Montoya vs Irish guy that sucks Pendred fight.
I'm just not giving a crap about this HW title fight at all.

Cain is the baddest man on the planet, when healthy. That being said, I'm rooting for Fabricio.

Alvarez/Melendez could be foty.

Well the main card doesn't start until 10 and game 5 of the Stanley Cup is about to drop.

Their only big draws for the casuals right now are Conor and Rousey and they aren't fighting tonight. Cain sucks at marketing himself and he's constantly injured.

To be fair, they have barely marketed this card
The last PPV they spent the entire time talking about the McGregor card.

Ive followdd the sport for years and love Cain but poor marketing and his constant injuries hurt his popularity. As previously stated they havent marketd the card as well. Due to my job i miss alot of the fights or dvr them . I get all my results from following this thread so its hard for me to comment on stuff when i see it days later instead of when its happening. With all that said ive bren looking forward to this one for awhile

anchoring our mega thread wasn't a good move

Weidman has the same problem. Say what you will about Brock but he put butts in the seats and eyes on the product.
