i didn't even think Lesnar hit him that hard, it looked like a glancing blow...i guess a glancing blow to the temple would kind of suck..especially from someone as massive as Lesnar.

I dont really watch a whole lot of this stuff, but after tonight i'll definitely be watching a lot more.

ready for 92, the card looks pretty sick.

IT really does suck you in. Once you get to where you are rooting for certain fighters and you have your favorites, MMA is as good as football.

I do not think it was so much the shot to the temple as it was two solid punches earlier in the round and one knee to the head. The first big shot knocked randy back and wobbled him pretty good. I thought brock had a shot to finish him there and he charged in somewhat but randy got the clinch and survived momentarily.

I think it was those shots before the last one that did the majority of the damage.

Maia will be challegning soon for the belt. People argue with me but there is not much talent in the 185 lb division and Maia looks real good. His Jiu-Jitsu is ridiculous.

I watched the fight a little get together last night/sausage fest. When the Maia fight came on, someone asked "is anyone taking this guy?" I was the only one that said yeah.

i thought so too. I was pretty impressed with his ground skills.

I cant remember the name of the fighter who won the match with a submission that looked like he was gonna rip the guys arm out of the socket, but it looks like either of them would be tough to beat in their respective weight classes.

looking forward to UFC 92, i'll have to watch that one at home so i can have it on tivo

I picked Quarry in a decision because I thought there would be NO WAY Quarry would allow himself to get on the ground

Maia's gonna have a hell of a time getting most of the top guys at 185 on the ground to use his BJJ.

And Hazelett has awesome bjj for sure but he didn't hold up too well against Koscheck.

What is the deal with Jorge Gurgel (sp)? He is supposed to be this BJJ guru that everyone goes and gets trained by. And then you see him fight and he gets his arse kicked in a brawl pretty much every time. I called it last night. I was like "this guy is going to brawl the whole time and lose". He is like Andy Wang, only he actually made it to the UFC.

i guess if you suck rich franklin's dick and rich sucks dana's dick you can stay around forever. He also got submitted in his last ufc fight before this, so maybe its a McDojo belt.

Who's your top 5 in the 185 lb class in the UFC?

1. Silva
2. Hendo
3. Franklin - If he goes back to 185
4.....
5.....

If I'm not mistaken, they said Gurgel was the guy who gave Hazlett his black belt. Everything I have ever heard about the guy, says he is an incredible BJJ guy. Almost every fight he comes out swinging though. Then he goes to his corner and Delagrazi is telling him how to strike more effectively. I'm thinking "pull guard if you are that fricking good on the ground"

god, i have to think about that for a minute. i was mainly thinking Henderson, Marquardt, Okami would be tough for Maia to get down.

I don't think you'll see Franklin around 185 while Silva is still champ. No use having him beat up contenders if he can never pose any threat to the champ.

So what is everyone's reaction to The Natural getting beat last night?

After Maia beat Quarry like he did, I'd put him easliy in the same class with these two.

Hendo, not so much for right now.

That he will never face Fedor and he most likely retires.
