Strike numbers pretty even but more impactful ones landed by Ankalaev.

More control time and octagon control for Ankalaev.

Pereira just didn’t do enough to allow the judges to let him retain.

I really hate the outcome but it’s the right decision.

That fight was boring as shite.

Oh so you’d be one of the ones booing like that crowd was during the fight?

Lol ok. That lets us know that you have no what you’re talking about.

Don’t think anyone is taking ank out anytime soon including my favorite fighter Jiri.

3-1 going into the final round is about what I figured. I can’t see how Sal gave the 5th to Ank though
Ank landed more strikes in the 5th round than Poatan attempted.

You found that fight exciting and worth a new champion?

Even though all of Ank’s takedowns got stuffed, he killed time that Alex needed. Good coaching. Smart fighting.

Still a boring fight no matter how you want to try to spin it.

81 to 64 on significant strikes for Pereira

Yet 3/2 - 4/1 because of fricking up takedown attempts and their affinity to dry hump dudes

Ank walked him down and threw when he needed to throw . Didn’t try to grapple the entire time. He’s just extremely technical.

I wouldn’t call it the most exciting fight I’ve ever seen. But I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of it. I’m sorry that all you care about is bloody brawls where they do nothing but throw bombs apparently.

He clearly dominated him for most of the fight. Again, I’m sorry that you’re a low IQ mma viewer lol.

You should stop here lol

Anky had the bigger moments in the fight but I still gave the champ rounds 1, 3 & 5

not according to UFC's site. They have significant strikes 94-76 Ank.

Dana's post fight is going to be lit. Shitty judges, people not being able to buy the PPv, bunch of canceled fights, a terrible title fight, and a fighter slightly less boring than Belal as the new champ

Alex looked slow and timid for some reason. He barely threw anything other than that low leg kick. Maybe he planned for a certain feint or counter that just didn’t come.

But Stalling and failing takedowns shouldn’t earn you a belt. That’s just my opinion, but you should have to go earn a belt from the Champ not just be handed one because you flopped around long enough.

He had Alex rocked a couple times. Put it all on the line and go out swinging. Winning a boring arse fight decision after spending two rounds lieing against the cage just sucks.

I would’ve been fine with ground game. I also like submissions more than knockouts. He failed every single takedown defense and finally just resigned to holding Alex against the cage.

you’re a low IQ mma viewer lol.

Your incorrect assumptions and constant personal insults coupled with the weird aggressive edge to your posting means this will be the last time I respond to you, but you should go outside and touch grass man. Your posts the last few months are full of anger and hatred and condescension. Take stock of your life and do better.

He’s obviously the type of viewer that’s not satisfied unless there are 500+ bombs thrown during the fight and they “go out swinging”

Low IQ fight watchers have to be the worst type of sports fan
