Jones is the complete package I don't see Alex beating him as scary as he looks. He will have to be at him on ground because Jones won't get into a striking contest with him. I seriously doubt the fight ever happens anyway

The holdup is 95% Jones. He wants to fight Stipe more than anyone actually wants to see him fight Stipe. UFC is taking care of their boy.
Play firefighter though? I think Shaq does that sometimes, but Stipe is legit on that front. Deserves more respect than that.

Right now it is. But over the years Stipe has held up that division unnecessarily for a long time and part of it was usually the firefighter stuff.

Its that he isn't a legit firefighter, its that he is (or at least was) a UFC fighter first and foremost. The heavyweight division will always be an important division in any combat sport, and he was sandbagging so he could do his other side job. Guys have limited primes, the divisions have to keep moving but Dana waited on Stipe time and time again.

Yeah I think I'm just annoyed with him because he has the personality of a lag bolt and rarely fights but people always seem to be waiting on him
