when you take damn near two years off, this is what happens...
absolutely awful and disappointing performance from Covington tonight and he HAD the crowd behind him yet again..
and it's not even about winning or losing, it's about trying ... and what got Covington his fan base (aside from all the frickery), was his relentless style ...
yet tonight, he came out looking terrified the first three rounds and didn't even try to fight until the final two rounds.
if anything... it just goes to show all of us fans that we are the suckers here because no matter how much the machine of the UFC or Joe Rogan tries to tell us how "great" someone is ... at the end of the day, they're getting paid and couldn't care less.
