This card is horrible. First PPV I don’t plan on watching in awhile.

Wont be 5 rds. Sterling gets 1 takedown and O'Malley aint getting back up. If Yan can take down and control O'Malley you can bet your a$$ that Sterling does the same and takes him out via RNC.

I’m not an Aljo fan but I hope he knocks the color out of O’Malley’s hair

I’ve never seen a newcomer railroaded to a title shot so fast in my life. He doesn’t deserve this title shot one bit

Dana says he's got the "IT" factor.

Make no mistake if this fight goes to the Cards Aljo has no shot. Dana has fast tracked this Kid and is banking on him being a Cash Cow like McGregor!!

Dude is such a fake try-hard

I can’t stand him and I pray Aljo ends this BS hype train

I saw this coming from the start.. the ufc acts like his fight with chito never happened. His fight with Yan was bullshite and he should have lost

And he is backpeddling into another title fight after getting knocked out and barely beating jan who looked like complete shite and was winded after 2 minutes of fighting. Omalley has quietly been under the ufc banner for 7 years. While he hasnt fought the highest caliber opponents he only has 1 loss in 7 years and it was to chito and his leg was injured. I thought he lost the yan fight also. Ive seen worse candidates get title shots.

I do like the dynamic between sean and his coach, 2 young guys starting from nothing.

He outstruck and beat Jan which Izzy was unable to do. And izzy had 5 rds. If that fight was 5 rds, Alex sleeps Jan in the 4th.

Regardless if you think he’s fast tracked, the man has wins over two ufc champions. Maybe 3 if Strickland somehow beats izzy.

If Alex beats Jiri, he’s a double champ in MMA and kickboxing. That’s a hell of an combat sports accomplishment, totally unheard off.

Aljo controlled Cejudo in a glorified grappling match.

Amazing to me since Cejudo is an Olympic gold medalist.

The statement was that no “newcomer” fighter has been fasttracked to a title shot quicker than sean. Sean is getting a title shot 7 years into his ufc career and beat 1 champion. Pereira had 3 fights.

No he doesnt despite having 0 cardio jan was able to take him down at the end of the fight. Both guys looked like absolute shite. Pereira got dominated in round 1 and did nothing in either 2/3. If lhw wasnt absolute dogshit at the moment no way he gets a title shot off of that fight.

I guess my point was that O’Malley doesn’t have that signature win that stands out on his resume. And I get the comparison to Pereira but their whole back story was far more interesting than someone who dyes their hair 17 different colors.. O’Malley lost to Chito and the UFC acted like that never even happened. Dude straight up frickin quit

You are being a little disingenuos about the chito fight. Dude was winning the fight until his leg gave out. I really think the ufc wanted both guys to continue winning and meet up later in a title fight.

Not many guys are knocking out people at 135. Of course the ufc wants someone that ko’s people to hold the title. I think you can compare omalley to garbrandt. Garbrandt had some good wins but not against any real top level guys until he beat cruz.

Is he deserving? Maybe maybe not, we all know marketable fighters get an extra push. I wouldnt say he was fasttracked though he has a bunch of fights and 7 years in the ufc.

Pulling for Holobaugh - Louisiana dude, met him twice at some local shows, nice guy, him & Hick Diaz went to war on TUF and has improved a ton since he was let go in his first UFC stint
