How does Chito get the next shot? He just lost to sandhagen in a fight that should have never been a split decision

Huh? Chito just won last night. And is also the only person to beat O'Malley.

Dana post fight presser Cliffs:

- Weidman needs to retire. He blew his left knee out and needs another year to recover. You've done it all. Please go home and be with your family now.

- Wonderboy turned down the Garry fight.

- No Dublin card right now. Sights set for Garry at MSG next, then Dublin.

- China card coming soon

- Suga as champ makes my pants tingle. He's the next McGregor/Rhonda level marketable star/impact on an event and city.

- Loves Contender series stars.

- Thinks Aljo goes to 145

- Connor/Chandler probably next year

- No update on LHW title picture

- Biggest live gate at TD garden besides and NBA finals. Economic study going to happen from how good Boston is for UFC.

- PPV record for Bantamweight title

Yeah I get that but he also just got dominated a few months ago by sandhagen who also just dominated Rob font and is ranked higher. Seems like he would be next in line. Dana will probably defer to the rematch though because sandhagens fight against font “wasn’t exciting enough”

Like I said in my original post it shouldn’t have been a split decision. Sandhagen dominated that fight and a lot of people agreed a split was bullshite it was unanimous

Doesn't change the fact that it was a split decision.

It would be an interesting case study in why he’s such a good draw

He had a very unique style and persona

He doesn’t seem very good on the mic, the what’s up Boston after the fight and at the presser seemed like they are trying to get him there and force feeding him some lines just feels forced and off though.

He already has other products being marketed, the suga sweat shite they were flashing last night.

I bet a lot of people watch him because they want to see him lose, ala Tito Ortiz.

Certainly wasn’t the case last night, Aljo held that honor.

Sandhagen just had surgery and will never be ready for December. I thought Sterling would choke out O'Malley so hats off to him. His last two fights that Kid has really taken that next step and looks to be ready to rule that Division for a while.

I think they probably go with the chito fight. Its a winnable fight for omalley. Merab would be a very tough fight for him. Merab wouldnt try and strike with him. Aljo said he probably should have went with the boring gameplan to get the win but he alluded to wanting to have an exciting fight and all the booing and shite played a part in him wanting to put on an exciting fight.

Yeah Aljo got a little overzealous in the second after having that success in the last minute of the first.

So you didn’t watch the fight.

Doesn’t change the fact that it was a split decision.

And that doesn’t change the fact that Sandhagen completely dominated/out classed Vera. Judge who gave it to Vera should never be allowed to judge again. Other two scored it 50-45 and 49-46.

That's not a fact, though. But it IS a fact that it was a split decision.

it kinda is tho. It was for sure a schooling, despite one cross-eyed judge’s opinion

Weidman's response to Dana:

quote:

“I’m not done. I’ll be back better than ever. This was a good opportunity for me to get back in the Octagon.”

Dana not feeling Joe Lauzon anymore, either:

quote:

As for Lauzon moving forward in the UFC, White also gave a straightforward answer.

“I would like Joe to retire, too,” he said.
