All fights at 145 and below should always be 5 rounds. These guys are too damn conservative early in fights.

If takedowns win you a round for just maintaining control, takedown defense and blocking 12 of 12 should also get you some consideration

Worst part is Merab won’t even fight for the title if Sterling has the belt. Sterling won’t move up because he has no chance against Volk.

No way should standing back and just taking it should be rewarded.
Same thing in the heavyweight fight. Tybura didn't land a single strike in the first round. Romanov should have been rewarded for that domination. Not saying he should have won, that should have been a draw.

That was a garbage fight. Aldo refusing to get out of a clinch and the other guy incapable of doing anything worthwhile. I'd probably have just scored that 28-28 just so I wouldn't have had to pick a side.

I don't think a single fighter has ever just focused on takedown defense like Aldo just did. Normally, there is at least an attempt to counter. Aldo attacked what, once, at the very end of the first?
That might as well justve been a training session.

Sterling by decision is my guess. Aljo is an elite bantamweight. Don’t see him handling featherweight well though. It’s a big step up when it comes to the power across from you.
