a guy he’s a terrible matchup for

To be fair, Gane is a terrible match up for most people in the swang, bang, and gas division. He was also just fresh off a fight against Volkov where he threw a lot of multi-punch combinations and just hung out in the pocket after. He executed a gameplan really well and didn’t do the shite he did against Volkov that would’ve potentially led to him getting KTFO

Still disappointed Lewis didn’t show up. Maybe because he didn’t come out to lil Troy. Regardless gane is a beast. Nice to see him finish someone as tough as Lewis. The Ngannou fight should be a good one and he should follow the same gameplan. Take it slow and attack from the outside.

Also good to get another contender at 170. Been watching luque since ultimate fighter with usman and the dude is the real deal. Always in exciting fights win or lose and might just be the most handsome
Motherfricker on the roster.

Oh well off to Nashville in a few minutes.

a rare mistake from the UFC tonight

that Pay-Per-View card was absolutely awful. not worth the money.

I missed the main card chick fight. But, of the fights I did see the best and only good fight was the last prelim with Bobby Green and Rafael F. That should have been the main event.

Lewis threw 21 punches the whole fight. Dude averaged throwing 7 punches per round. And that was his whole fight - throwing punches. Talk about being outclassed

Ngannou -130
Gane -110

Essentially a coin flip but I'm leaning on Gane.

The only really good fight imho was luque vs chiesa. It was short but a great battle.

As for Lewis he isn’t usually a high output guy but I didn’t understand why he was sitting back and letting gane work his gameplan. At least try and get close so you can get a shot off.

Black Beast just seemed off his game last night. Almost like he's was drinking purple syyrup drank.

Got blasted on the eye ; tried to blame Gane finger ...NOPE not what replay showed. Clean shot seemed to take the fight out of him he was not quite same.

Gane very agile for his size + high fight IQ

Gane was a successful muay thai fighter before going UFC. Same with Adesanya except Adesanya has a background in kickboxing and boxing. These guys were already proficient at their standups and learned some TD defenses and ground game later. I wonder if we will see more of this trend.
