Yes. Nate has a great chin and he's comfortable on his feet. He knows how to take punches. ETA: If you were to make a list of the best chins in MMA, the Diaz brothers are undoubtedly on there.

You're pointing to one fight and saying "see, if he can't hurt Nate, I doubt he can hurt Khabib." Well he had enough power to give Eddie his first KO loss in 9 years. Had enough power to give Dustin his first KO loss ever. How do those fights factor into your analysis?
quote:

Nate has much better hand strikes than Khabib and Connor had zero trouble finding the mark over and over again.
What's the relevance of this statement?

I think the Eddie fight best showcased his power. That first time he put Eddie on his arse, you could see the surprise on Eddie's face. Like wtf was that.

Bellator actually has a great fight tomorrow night with Rory MacDonald and gegard mousasi. Without a doubt the best fight they have ever put on. I thought the UFC was stupid for letting mousasi go.

Great fight but Gegard seems really big and a very tough fight for Rory. Big fan of both fighters. How about Wand vs Rampage, will that fight be worth a shite or not?

Rampage looks fat as hell. Looks like a gas fest unless they’re both on juice.
ETA only saw his face before, body looks good but likely dirty. Just a hunch.

It was a good fight in 2005, before Rampage got fat and Wandy got a new face.

It is on some streaming service DAZN for $9.99. Good luck with that Coker.

Hopefully this guy Pico is fighting is not a can.

To be fair, Eddie gets put in his arse in like 75% of his fights, lol. Then he goes all zombie mode

Yeah I like gegard. Dude beat up mark hunt. Nuff said. UFC was dumb for letting him go. He had the best resume at middleweight. Instead I am sure we will be seeing fricking Chris weidman or rockhold getting a titleshot next even though they both have gotten their asses kicked a bunch of times lately.

Eddie doesn't start fighting until he is about to get knocked out.

Fedor was the same. Do you buy Chael’s take that it was all fixed over there? The Fujita fight really sticks out in memory. Was the Fedor comeback mystique a fabrication? Makes Eddie seem even tougher.

Fedor is my favorite fighter, so I will always refuse to believe it.

Fedor wasn’t like that for every fight

He mauled a prime minotauro 3 times

Sure randleman landed an awesome suplex but fedor knows how to relax when being in thrown. Fedor is just that damn good, his sambo is world class. Watch him hip toss Frank Mir

That said pride did fix fights. I’m certain cro cop randleman fight was fixed. Royce Gracie vs yoshida grappling match was fixed. Takada and Coleman was definitely fixed as well.

Keep in mind a fixed fight doesn’t mean both fighters are in the know

Yes to everything you said. Chael speaks directly to your last point. Fujita had him stanky leg with the same type of punch that ended GSP’s unbeaten streak, if memory serves. Next thing you know he’s turning Fujita’s head purple. He’s obviously why most of us gave sambo a look. I love the guy.

Completely wiped gsp Hughes loss from my mind. Thought sera was the only loss. Wow. Memory.

Yeah th first gsp and Hughes fight

George had a great showing but I think the big stage, the title, all the hype etc for him nervous

I don’t think that was a fixed fight

I also think the first pride Grand Prix was fixed

They wanted Kerr or Coleman to win. I think the Japanese organization wanted this as a main event but Igor vovchanchyan spoiled that by beating Kerr

Kerr was making his smashing machine documentary at the time

Nah, wasn’t implying such. Was comparing the Fujita punch to the one that started all the badness for GSP in the Sera fight, right off the top of the forehead.
