Yeah, I thought Holdsworth definitely had the talent to be a contender. Dillashaw injured him training. Here is what happened.

quote:

Now, on the Inside BJJ podcast, Holdsworth has revealed the nature of the strike that caused him to exit the sport. After striking his head during a Tuesday wrestling practice, Holdsworth attended sparring practice the following day.

During the sparring practice, he claims to have been struck with an illegal blow to the head that ended everything. “Next day was sparring, sparring with some of the best guys in the room. I took an illegal knee to the top of the head, when I was on all fours. That’s the one that (expletive) me up.”

Following the strike, Holdsworth continued practice. After practice, the fighter realized he was concussed and decided to take some time off. After coming back into the sport, the fighter received another concussion.

Went back and read my post. Yes TJ did, not Cody.

Yeah... The podcast gave you a lot of insight into that whole situation. Urijah tried to shut down talking about the situation but Cody was like frick that Chris is my roommate. They also said how he was a Savage in the gym and would try and hurt people... Urijah alluded to having to apologize alot for him and try and reign him in.

I think Cody fricks him up though. I don't think that kind of movement works against Cody's fight style.

Yeah, I got it downloaded and will listen to it tomorrow night at work. The only funny thing is, if TJ was so bad like that, then why all the butthurt about him leaving. Seems like they would have been glad he left, or at least ok with him leaving. Maybe the prestige of TAM finally getting a UFC champion then leaving to follow Bang was a slap in the face.

Nah, these guys put in too much work to just scrap it. I agree with putting it on free TV.

Mighty Mouse is the best P4P fighter on the planet and is going for UFC record title defenses and gets no love. Damn, Might Mouse is the most criminally forgotten about fighter I've ever seen

Well he is no longer fighting on this card. And he is appreciated by all the real mma fans. The casuals are the ones who drive PPV buyrates anyway. DJ's ppv that he has headlined have been terribly weak in the past, so he is not getting any support from the UFC in that regard either.
