DMX hyping up 196 for the UFC
This dude can make you get pumped for a curling match. If I was a fighter, this would be my walk-out song LINK
Amazing interview with Conor & Nate after the press conference Nate's awkwardness makes this all the more entertaining.

Nate definitely got worked in that presser. But he won the face-off by making Connor flinch and jump first. Everybody thinks Nate's some master of shite talk, like Connor is, he's not. Nate leaves his shite talk for inside the octagon. That's when he gets inside his opponents head, not before. This isn't going to be an easy fight for Connor. Like he said, Nate's lead leg is very vulnerable. If he comes out attacking that early it definitely bodes well for him. On the other side, if Nate gets Connor to the ground, he won't stand a chance against his BJJ.

McBedded - Episode 4
Conor drops great quotes every episode. "Now this is a great suit. frick me"
"I can eat me breakfast in the car, yeah"
Nate has brought some memorable quotes as well. "No one knows what a gazelle is anyway. It’s America, motherfricker. Get it right.”
Weigh-ins are at 7:00E & the "Unstoppable" press conference is at 5:00E (announcing major fights from March through June I think Dana said. He's definitely going to have some extra help at the weigh-ins today.

I hope Nate boxes the shite out of McGregor for 25 minutes. I like Conor, I think he's good for the sport, but I find him to be a bit irritating. He's a nice guy, he does a lot of good things for the fans, I just don't like listening to him talk. The bizarre shite he said about digging a grave made me wish Nate would have just reached over and gave him a Stockton slap.
Another thing is I wish Conor would stop acting like this is a 170 pound fight. This is two 155 pounders agreeing to fight without a weight cut. A real 170 pound fight would be Rory, Wonder Boy, or Woodly.

Here's a really funny thing. Conor's new thing is talking about how much money he's making. Now think about the kind of money that boxing still pulls in for headliner fights. Or the money that an NBA star make. It just pennies compared to the other sports.

Uhhh, you do realize that boxing, basketball, etc have been around for 100 years, right? The UFC has been around since 1993.
Dude is a trendsetter and he definitely isn't making pennies. McGregor will make more in this 1 fight on Saturday, than 99% of all the boxers and basketball players around the world will make for the whole year.

From what I understand it's somewhere between 1 and 3 million depending on whether or not Diaz goes out there and puts a stamp on him. In all of 2015 his net fight pay was only $1.3 million in disclosed earnings. No telling what it is behind closed doors.
He's got a pretty good deal with Reebok among others. He's doing well, but he's not exactly far and above some other people on the roster.

Didn't the UFC bring in like 600million in 2015 alone? Most of that was because of McGregor (2 of the biggest PPVs in its history). I highly doubt Conor generated the biggest year in the company's history, then got rewarded with a couple hundred thousand per fight
I also highly doubt he paid a single penny for that mansion he's staying in, all of those custom suits he's wearing, or those Rolls Royces he's pushing around and eating his breakfast in.

That was how much revenue they generated. The MGM grand doesn't let them put on fights for free, and filming those promos is expensive. They had several commercials that were well over a million in production.

$500k flat plus pay per view points and whatever Reebok pays him.

Correct.

quote:I can't stand how he flaunts his money and throws it in others faces. He was on welfare two or three years ago. At least Nate is putting on bjj clinics and not leaching off of the government. Dude needs to be humbled.

Ronda Rousey was queen until she got K.O'd. All it takes is one fight, one K.O. to drastically change the publics view of a fighter. If Nate beats Connor, his stock will take a HUGE hit. First guy he's faced who has the length and reach on him. If he loses this fight, he'll all of a sudden have a known kryptonite. He'll no longer be invincible to many people. He's in a great spot $ wise, but I don't think he's anywhere near the spot he actually believes he's in. Hell, he's only fought what 7-8 times in the UFC? If that? I like McGregor. Use to hate him, but I respect him now. But does he still have A LOT to prove if he wants to be one of the best of all-time? Absolutely. People have defended belts for 10 years strong, he has yet to defend 1. Time will tell, but if he thinks he's anywhere near as big as the UFC itself, he's out of his mind crazy. And not in the good way he'd like people to think.

The dumbest thing that has ever come out of Conor's mouth. Making fun of a guy for teaching kids about the sport. What the frick dude

Curious what PPV numbers will be.
193 was 1 mil, 194 was 1.2
I would imagine they will be pumped if this breaks a mil.
