Did Moussasi think he was going to outpoint Machida after the third round?
Thing is Moussasi is a laid back fighter/counter striker. He wants to pick you apart with crisp jabs and make you pay for your mistakes. The problem is Machida is so slick and quick. It just made a very tough matchup for Moussasi.

Mousasi did the same thing against King Mo. He was clearly behind and fighting with no sense of urgency. He was deducted a point for an illegal up-kick in that fight.

I kept waiting for Mousasi to just charge Machida and get right up in his grill if just to try something different by that point.

What did he have to lose at that point? It was obvious he wasn't going to win keeping up that game plan after the third.

I agree with you. I have never understood how fighters do this when its obvious that they are going to lose the fight.

Except that Mousasi was the one feeling those head kicks when he tried to step in.

I fell asleep during the Machida Mousasi fight, this card minus the Silva fight was HORRIBLE.

I called it. Card sucked

The Silva fight was garbage too. I don't know who the other guy beat for 10 straight wins, but they must've been bar fights. He literally didn't throw a punch. Just grabbed his leg and held on like a 4th grade girl. It was an embarrassment.

Guessing Faber is probably glad his last fight got called now that he sees what can happen when you just clutch onto some dude's leg for dear life.

And I will never pay money for the undercard fights, which apparently were even worse than the shitty main card fights.

I think McMann might push Rousey to the brink. This is one where Rousey has to be careful, she really hasn't faced an opponent that matches up with her as well as McMann.
It'll be interesting seeing Rousey's takedown defense against a legit wrestler. McMann can probably knock her out too if she gets a solid flush shot on Rousey. McMann just seems like a different class of fighter than Rousey's faced so far.

One of the most beautiful martial arts out there.

McMann is from my hometown. Hoping she kicks Rousey's arse!

Love it.
Can't get over how masterfully the throws are executed and how quickly her training partner is able to break fall. She has the grace of a ballerina during the last throw.

McMann barely beat Shayna Bazler last year.. women's wrestling is not close to the skill level on women's jiu jitsu.. Ronda is a far superior athlete to McMann.. the quick turnaround is always a question, but I think in alot of cases it is beneficial, Urijah Faber's run last year for example.. I actually don't think any woman mma fight in the world is even close right now to Ronda, and I'm including Cyborg, who I think Ronda would destroy.. I mean fat Gina Carano got Cyborg in mount.. My opinion of the fight, Ronda first round armbar.. if I'm wrong, oh well, but my track record overall is pretty good
