But you can't call Edgar a mosquito after KOing Maynard. I've always been a FE doubter/hater, but dude is skilled and is quietly putting together the resume for GOAT LW.

he still fights the mosquito style trying to win on points and cardio with zero damage. He's not as bad as Cruz, but he is bad.

Eddie Alvarez will be in the UFC sooner rather than later, so after the winner of the title eliminators we discussed below get their shot, he should face a Maynard/Guida or one of the losers of the aforementioned fights and winner gets a shot.

Don't know why you say that, UFC & Eddie couldn't agree on terms in the past and Bellator is moving to Spike TV next year if not sooner and he is their most marketable star.. be awesome if he did move but oh well.

Lauzon is a gatekeeper for the LW's. I never see him getting to championship calibur and wasn't pettises last fight a loss to guida?

I use to hate Kongo, but for some crazy reason since his comeback KO of Pat Berry I have a new found respect for him.

HOWEVER I HOPE MARK HUNT KO's his arse!

It'll be interesting. Kongo and Hunt both have some serious power, but Hunts chin is legendary (which makes Manhoefs brutal KO of him that much more impressive). I don't think Kongo will risk it. He'll look for the TD early and try to grind out a dec.

Even if Kongo isn't good at kimuras he should try one on Hunt. He always get caught in one

You think Kongo will look for the takedown early? Has he ever looked for an early takedown?

I think they both come out banging (no homo).....but it will be interesting to see which Mark Hunt decides to show up this weekend.

Probably wise because even though Kongo is a striker his striking defense is not too good.

that is the style of most of the 155 or less fighters. very little big punchers. i enjoy it. they're like little water bugs out there

give me Lauzon, Diaz, Alvarez, Florian, Cerronne, Aldo fighters who actually try to finish any day over Frankie, Cruz, Guida, Tyson Griffin, Maynard, etc who are just looking for "points" and scream "hiyaah" when they strike to make sure the judges know it was legit.

Well, of coarse it is better to watch. But guys like Frankie CAN'T win fighting like that. So what else are they going to do? Its either fight the way they fight, make lots of money, and be successful..... or not.

they can do whatever they need to. The scoring system should be set up to stop rewarding that crap. The ufc should send them flying down the ranks if they lose like they do with a Jon Fitch type.

I know your point, and it would make the fights more exciting. I'd like to see them add the soccer kicks like they had in Pride. Seems to take a little away from trying to stay on the ground.

Rampage came in overweight at 211. He loses 20% of his purse but Bader will still fight him
