difference between being an awesome puncher with technique and awesome one punch knockout power.
we all know diaz is the former and not really the latter

Your right there. GSP will take Condit to the ground and dry hump him for 5rds. Tonight's fight was a lot more interesting than that one will be. GSP use to be fun to watch until Matt seara landed that one hit wonder on him. After his rematch with seara he really hasn't tried to finish anyone

(and make no mistake, those kicks had NO effect on Diaz, should not weigh as heavily as strikes that are meaningful. ).
I disagree 100%. Diaz was waddling at some points in that fight. He even started to try to check them in rd 4. I've never seen Diaz try to check a kick before. Those were hard leg kicks.
Leg kicks won't knock a guy out. (it does happen rarely though. Vera had 2 guys pretty much immobalized after leg kick fest.) He never really capitalized on it though, just kinda did what he had to after he slowed him down.

Diaz lost the fight in the first 2 rounds
I scored first two rounds to Diaz easily...
in fact I only gave round 4 to Condit.
Condit ran like a bitch. Diaz's shots rattled him. Condit's were a numbers game with no effect.
To the guy who claimed Condit's leg kick were "destoying" Diaz... please. Are you fricking serious???? Come on.
Run Condit run.

i may dislike nick diaz ... but, he is absolutely one of the best boxer's in MMA today ... those punches add up and add up quickly ... i know frank shamrock was washed up when he fought diaz ... but, he even said ... those punches start to hurt and hurt QUICK

i thought diaz threw a LOT more power punches in this fight because he was unable to get off the flurries that he is used to hitting people with
I agree with this...Carlos did a great job of not letting Nick get him against the cage and throw the flurries

Dude...he wasnt wabbling at all...he was chasing a guy who was running for his life. He never flinched when those little leg taps occurred. In fact, he walked right through them. It was a joke.

im not disagreeing with his boxing abilities. but to think he is a one hit knockout artist is wrong. he throws decent to good power and a high volume of them. he has awesome technique no doubt about it.

yeah, I hope Carlos is going to enjoys a Saturday evening laying on hit back with GSP laying on top of him

lol this guy makes my point for me... "run carlos run"
only 1 round to carlos?
diaz face was swelling shut and carlos could have gone 3 more rounds

i wouldnt say that condit's kicks were destroying diaz .. but, the certainly had an effect on the diaz's gameplan ... the combo condit threw (i think in the 3rd) when he went left kick body, head punch and then right round house to the head was absolutely amazing ... the combo that they said greg jackson threw his hands up

i think they both could have fought 2 or 3 more rounds ... their conditioning for this fight was second to NO one ... i realize GSP won't go 5 rounds with either of these guys ... BUT, IF he was forced to ... it would make for an interesting fight

First 3 went to Diaz. Like I said, I gave COndit round 4. I had Condit taking round 5 too until the takedown and him taking his back.
Diaz's face was clean prior to rd 4.
I'm neutral. I like both Condit and Diaz.

There's a reason Nick Diaz couldn't close him off when he got him to the cage. The dude made 0 quick lateral movements after the first round. He was moving forward.
If you think leg kicks don't do anything, I can't really argue with you bc it's obvious you don't watch alot of mma and itd be like arguing with a wall.
I think Diaz has some of the best hands in mma but he would get destroyed in "boxing". Boxing has alot to do with slipping punches and defense, of which diaz has zero. He is all offense. He has beautiful technique of body-head-body combinations though. The "diaz is the best boxer in mma" is a misnomer imo and I read an article the other day on bloodyelbow pretty much stating the same so I'm not alone.
discalimer: I find the fight as frustrating as the next, and diaz is one of my favorite fighters but he showed holes which were exploited tongiht. Trying to be voice of reason.

You think GSP is gonna finish someone? I'll take that bet.

Condit won rounds 1,4,5 handily. i hated the way that fight went though.
he really did run away the entire fight. Diaz fault for not securing a clinch or taking him to the ground.
if a guy is gonna run and he's beating you, maybe u shouldn't keep doing the same thing for 4.8 rounds.
if he tried that take down to start the 4th instead of at the end of the 5th, he couuldn't actually won the fight
