Was it just me or was that the worst lay-n-pray you've ever seen with Sexyama in the third round?

I've read every page of this thread and I didn't see anyone mention it.

it was pretty bad, but it was almost effective. IIRC, he was on top of leben for the majority (first 3 minutes) of the last round and if he could've held on another minute or two, would've probably won the decision. anything close was going to sexyama, imo

eta: i was impressed however with his take-downs/tosses/sweeps. he also held his own standing-up, getting in some really good shots. i would love to see a rematch

I know I was happy when Leben tapped him. That was LNP at its worst.

its the new asian go to move. That stun gun guy against Amir was some of the worst LNP ever. Dude should have been cut on the spot.

i've been really impressed with leben lately. would love to see him get a rematch with anderson silva as i think he'd be much more patient the second time around. he'd still get KO'ed, but it'd be a good fight

This would probably be the worst thing that could happen to the sport--watered-down martial arts. What makes certain fighters so interesting is that you see some fighters with a traditional style shaking things up every now and then.

And I have to disagree about Akiyama and his boxing. Dude proved he was willing and able to eat punches. But that isn't a positive for a smart fighter.

Speaking of gassing. He couldn't talk five minutes after the fight.

That UFC was alot better than the past 5 or so. All the fights, minus the fight with the 2 black dudes, were good fights.
Bonnar fight was fun.
Leben fight was very fun. That dude is a tough SOB.
And the Lesnar Carwin fight was fun until the end. They have to do a rematch. Carwin seems like the only guy that can hurt Lesnar. I despise lesnar and was pissed when he won, but that was a fun fight to watch.

OK I will after you answer this. We have a 30+ page thread on discussing the fight so why did you feel the need to start a separate thread discussing the exact same subject?

That fight was a little slow but Harris' mammoth slam at the end made it worth while

What a couple of pussies, even an average boxer like Aaron The Hawk Pryor would tear those two clowns up

Welcome back. Dee, you finally came back out of hiding where you got called out in your last thread?

I see you never did respond to KB.

Here's the thread in case you forgot.

Harris' mammoth slam

Have you heard the story of how he got back in the UFC?

About 10 minutes before Dana White had to do a live radio interview (Bubba the Love Sponge?) he found out one of the MW's set to fight in a UFN had to pull out because of injury. The radio show took a few calls. Harris for the hell of it called in and got through. Once Dana realized who he was talking too he told Harris to call him on his cell after the show and they plugged him into the UFN slot.

Since then he's all three UFC fights.
