I'm not a doctor (yet), but for deep cuts like that they have 1 layer of stitches inside the cut and another on the outer layer.

It's going to be a problem area unless he does some therapeutic treatments, though.

It will be interesting to see if BJ stays motivated and keeps in shape for forthcoming 155 fights, or will he again wanna fight some biggers and bigs?

His first post-St-Pierre 2 bout was an obvious spot for a motivated and humiliated Penn, then Sanchez's run albeit against no champs, merited respect and a top-shape effort..

Will he grow bored again, or stay fit? He'll dominate 155 either way until he grows too old and/or gets clipped by a lucky puncher.

It's wicked how that leg kick split him like that.

BJ must have a pointy medial malleolus.

Aldo should move up to 155 and fight him

The announcers said Penn could drop down to 145 if need be.

Doesn't Aldo fight at 145?

I agree, though; Aldo should make the jump.

St.Pierre has been my world's best P4P for almost three years..Machida nary a lost round for career..A Silva looked bored in '06, '07, '08..then boom exploded again this year..

And yet with that said, I think they all are actually more vulnerable to "puncher's chances" and "dangerous guys" in their divisions than is BJ by contrast..

BJ just has no guys at 155 that can beat him on the ground, let alone get him there vs his world-class sprawl and one-leg dancing balance. And they sure as hell at 155 can't rock his jaw/head, when he has withstood punches by GSP, Hughes,etc..without being truly being KO'ed.

his balance and core strength is awesome.

no one is explosive like this guy at 155.

Kyle, anyone at 155 lbs that could legitimately test BJ right now?

no.

the only people i can think of are outside the ufc. id like to see bj grapple against aoki, but bj would knock his head off standing though.

Very true. That's why I can't believe some of these sites that had Aoki ranked above BJ in the LW rankings.

Holy shite. I've been waiting for this Penn-Sanchez matchup for years. I can't believe Penn dominated him so thoroughly.
