Ring positioning usually has a ton to do with how the judges score the fight. I had B.J. winning all rounds but I can see how they could have been scored all shitty like that. I'm glad B.J. was able to get the RNC so there was no doubts.

That's why I'm not invited to hang at Punchers.

Somebody help me with this,

Forrest Griffin earned a 60k bonus for exactly what now?

I know Ken Flo and BJ's arse must hurt real bad. Hell the best actual fight of the night was George Sotiropolous vs. George Roop. I called that too.

Forrest tried to bang with the best "banger" on the planet........ he deserves something. I don't know what his game plan was, but the final punch where he went down for the last time, he came in swinging like John Wayne. If his gameplan was to take AS down, he wasn't sticking with it early in the fight.

I think all rational thought left Forrest's head after he got dropped a minute into the fight.

He didn't land a single strike. NOTHING!!! How the hell do you get a bonus for that?

I am sure they just went ahead and gave all 120k to Silva.

I'm glad BJ shut Florian the frick up. Anyone notice how the Brazilliam JuJitsu "MASTER" was chocked the frick out and couldn't even take BJ down?

BJ's mistake was moving up in weight to fight St. Pierre. At his normal fighting weight, no one can beat BJ.

I'd agree with that. GSP is just that much better than everyone else at that weight.

So let's look at potential Belt fights:

HW-winner of Carwin/Valasquez gets Brock?
LHW-Rua/Machida. You figger if Rampage beats Evans, he gets a crack at belt. I can see a possible Evans/Spider matchup soon too.
MW-Hendo/Spider? Marquart/Maia winner is intriuging too.
WW-Maynard/Swick winner gets GSP? There's no one else really.
LW-Obvious BJ/Sanchez?

Thoughts?

Did he even land a punch? Seriously? He had to land a couple in the course of 4 minutes but I've watched it three times and I didn't see one. That is truly amazing.

Maynard fights at LW. I think you meant Swick- Kampmann.

Similar to the Leben fight except Forrest threw a few more punches and didn't say Silva should go back to Japan where the competition is easier before the fight.

Agreed. Although I wouldn't be too surprised if Couture runs through Nog and gets another shot at Lesnar. He held his own in the first round of that fight before he got caught.

Have to imagine they will wait to see if Rampage wins before they announce Machida's next fight.

Hendo is next. If Maia wins, I guess he gets a shot. Marquardt got stopped in the first round against Silva so I don't know if we see him anytime soon. Vitor Belfort is after Hendo if he beats Franklin I would have to think. Yushin Okami probably also deserves a shot before a Marquart rematch.

Kampmann/Swick winner gets GSP. After that, who knows? You have a few up and comers in that division though but they aren't ready: Anthony Johnson, Dong Hyun Kim, and Dustin Hazelett. If Sexyama moves down to WW he would be thrown in the mix too.

Sanchez is next you would think. After that perhaps the Maynard/Huerta winner? Frankie Edgar?

I do. My bad. Who is Maynard fighting? He's fighting someone good too.
