Just throwing it out there, but what would you say to the argument that I just came up with that Oregon's style of play has a ceiling, like the triple option Georgia Tech plays. Can work against the majority of teams, but will never reach elite status (Championships that matter)? My Oregon examples are of course the Auburn and LSU games.

ETA: Not a flame, but I've recently started getting that feeling that Oregon's style of play has a higher ceiling than the triple option, but its still there.

They made the title game and lost to Auburn on a last second FG...does "elite status" now = only the BCS winner regardless?

How utterly awesome would it be for that overly pompous bowl in Pasadena to have a team of the quality of UCLA.....would be a great game.

Meh, I know they made it, etc. It was also probably the worst SEC defense to make it in forever, so its not the best analogy. I think LSU this year even kinda messes up the analogy as well since we're a Top 2 defense in the country.

But Oregon's offense stagnates against real defenses, just like the triple option does, so it seems.

Not really that much of a sample size to go off though, since they play in the defenseless PAC.

ETA: What I'm getting at is that its just a feeling I'm getting that the future will have Oregon's offense turning to shite when it really needs it the most. Not saying that this is proven as of now, just a gut feeling.

You get up field on Oregon, you stop them. Its pretty simple. Pressure disrupts them a lot.

UCLA players are fricking retarded as shite. You can't beat those blocks on the guards on the outside. You have got to to cut those fat frickers on the outside.
