I still think the best option is leveling Loyola and having a nice stadium right on St. Charles

Tulane could do it!! 10k+ students. Akron just did it. They built a reasonable 22 million brand new state of the art facility. IMO its just as good as SMU.
Infocision stadium:
Tulane could do something very similar to that. Tulane is in an area where football is taken seriously. All it takes is a committment from the University and the AD.

preservationist tree hugging shite heads would come out of the woodworks and make it a living hell and near impossible to do.
Sad but true.
Tulane had to fight neighborhood activists to build the freaking Willow Dorms in the middle of their own campus. Those asshats will hit the roof over this.

Now, there's one more thing they need to do: bring back pregame tailgating.
In 1993 and 1994 the Alumni House had tailgate parties before games. Free jambalaya, free Coke, 25 cent beer. Don't have to make it free, but definitely bring back the tailgate parties. Maybe have a cheap all you can eat buffet for the students with fried chicken, gumbo, jambalaya, etc. That will get people to turn out.

Good luck with that. The Society of Jesus would destroy you.

i actually think we are on the upswing also, Toledo has beena great recruiter for us.
We have more and more of 3 and 2 stars coming over each year.
I hate to break this to you but that is just because Rivals is giving out more 2 and 3 star ratings than they used to. If you took the time to compare then you would see that since Toledo has been at Tulane his recruiting classes have ranked last (2008), 9th (2009), and 11th (currently) in CUSA. So he's basically only outrecruited Rice since he has taken over for Scelfo. Maybe an on campus stadium could help generate an infusion of talent but until that happens Tulane will continue to struggle. He's not the kind of coach who is going to beat you with inferior talent. He's not a great X's and O's guy so he is going to need to at least have talent that is in the top quarter of CUSA.

this would be a good thing for Tulane, I am all for it...
NOW GET OUT OF OUR DOME!

For all of Scelfo's other faults, he was a damned good recruiter.

I've touted SMU's stadium on YOGWF in the past. Maybe someone's been listening, who knows?
there was an article in the Times Picayune years ago about Tulane building a stadium in Jefferson Parish and it was gonna model the one SMU built

for parking issues? could they build a parking garage to help with some of the traffic? i mean now a days, they could probbaly make a sports complex(offices weightrooms, etc)/parking garage together
the reason i say that is because while i was an architecture major at LSU one of the teachers was designing a parking garage/office building

LSU fans don't think they need to piss on everything that happens to other schools, just at this lame arse school.

Excellent first post, I'm sure you'll add true value to the site

The subject matter of this thread automatically removes any chance of it having any value except for the limpd!cks who visit here.
Just take a look at how many of them crawl out of the woodwork for a rumored stadium that has almost zero chance of happening based on the political clout of the neighborhood.
BTW, no need to worry about future posts from me...........I'll stick to my own turf.

Tulane building a stadium in Jefferson Parish
I think an on-campus facility is long overdue, in addition I am sure Tulane could work deals with organizations such as the LHSAA and have local high school teams play there as well for additional revenue
I think it should stay in Orleans Parish as well, considering that is the location of the school
