La Tech has more potential than Tulane in the long run.
I don't see why anyone would choose Ruston over New Orleans.

I'm not saying I agree with it...but I can almost guarantee that the coaches in Ruston throw that out there. Remember, these are 17/18 year old kids. They don't think long term. They hear "Hawai'i" and get all excited.

they also can have their own fanbase somewhat in ruston. (full disclosure: we got two owls from last year trying to walk-on at tech)

Having stayed in dorms at both schools I can undoubtedly say that TU's are far nicer.
