I don’t know if he committed a crime but it’s certainly one of the worst presidential scandals of all time and no one seems to care.

But yes Garland sat on prosecuting Trump over all his Epstein crimes when he ran the DOJ, right?

I applaud those who call him out for shifting the narrative and trying to get his base and the media to not talk about Epstein.
Trump is playing 3D chess with the Epstein file right now. There are so many important people (world leaders) on that list, if it was made public the world would be in chaos. Much worse than it is now. Like you I didn't like the move but my man, it's much bigger than just releasing the list.

The owners should do whatever they want to do. Politicians should have no say. Niether republicans nor democrats. Not Trump, Biden, Obama, or Bush (just naming the ones from this century).

I can see why some might not want redskins the same way some may not want a team called the Coonasses rather than the Cajuns. It's unclear how many of either group find it offensive, but it is understandable. The image used, however, is not offensive in any way. Commanders could have been changed to Warriors with the same logo, problem solved.

I still call them Redskins half the time, though

Campaign promises made, campaign promises avoided because he was full of shite. I wouldn’t hold it against him had he not run on transparency when it comes to Epstein. The fact that he’s involved certainly doesn’t help.

When they polled it before changing the name 80% wanted to keep Redskins. It was done so that white libs could virtue signal and show their power. Thats all it was

He still has 3 1/2 years to serve. Does it make a difference if it's now or later ? There will never be a president on either side that 100% of the people who voted for him, approve of every move. If you think things aren't how you like them right now. Imagine Kamala being in office.

I think I read that, too, but I didn't see who they polled or how it was conducted. Most people I know whose ancestry is primarily native American (which is not a lot) are not that easily offended. They all kind of roll with the punches, so to speak.

They’re violent thugs whose leaders purposely let them run wild for political gain. Pretty much terrorists.

My grandfather on my mom’s side was and never once had any grievance. People from that era didn’t even think about silly things like that.

I’m sure this will make everyone forget he is hiding the Epstein list and running cover for pedos like Prince Andrew.

A couple of the guys I interacted with on a job site were a bit younger than me, about the age of my older children; they couldn't have cared less if people called them Indians or Native Americans, though we never talked about the Redskins name. Honestly, what I got from those guys was they preferred to be singled out by tribe (they were Navajo) than lumped all together.

Nobody who watches sports asked for these changes. Glad the president is calling this out

I guess it’s different depending on education, size and influence in a particular area. Here, what happened was during French/Indian war that tribe and a militia from the area fought a French battalion and were slaughtered down to like 3 tribesman and a couple of others from the area so the tribe was wiped out right there. The 3 survivors were brothers, they came home started families and assimilated into the community. They had a nickname but that’s all that lived on as far as identification of the tribe.

Guardians is lame but they should switch to Spiders. The Indians name is cursed. They lost Game 7 in extra innings the last TWO times in the World Series.

It's like building on a sacred Indian burial ground.

Kamala was never nominated. Dropped out of the race in 2020 without a delegate. I get it - I didn’t support her. But second term Trump failed when it comes to Epstein and then turned on his base because they pushed back.

That’s why the red meat this weekend has been tasty for many. He knows what he’s doing.

That's part of the history for some as well. From archeological evidence and some native oral histories, that isn't something that was new to the natives. There were lots of conflicts that predated Columbus that ended in the elimination of certain groups. Sometimes quickly and sometimes slowly. Often resulting in remnants being absorbed by other tribes or groups. At least that is what I have read. I have a cousin who is 1/4 Blackfoot, his mom was 1/2. She had a pretty unhealthy opinion of the Crow people. This idea of some sort of homogeneous people with little to no conflict in North America is a leftist fantasy.

People loved the Indians. Redskins were loved too but more like an NFC regional fanbase type love if that makes sense. The Indians were a beloved national franchise. The underdog identity from the long lack of success pre 90s, the movie, Chief Wahoo. They were fun.
