COACHING SCOOP: Sources have indicated that #Tulane skipper Travis Jewett has emerged as a leading candidate for the @Cougbaseball opening. Jewett was previously an assistant at #Wazzu and knows the ins and outs of that program. #Pac12

Tulane would be lucky as a dog with two dicks to have wazoo take TJ off their hands.

You’re giving Tulane too much credit, we’ll never hire Cannizaro

Probably not, but hopefully they will reach out to Riser, Gautreau, and Deggs. There are good candidates out there for Tulane not to frick it up this time around.

The Jewetts did this.

I’d love Deggs or Cannizaro.
Really like Gautreau
I’d be fine with Riser, but I think the ceiling is lower with him.

I feel like Riser has done a great job at SELU. If they didn’t get snubbed in his second year (2015) you’re looking at NCAA regionals 4/6 seasons. Only finished below 2nd place one time.

No surprise, Tulane's had zero stability since Jones left and has pretty much become a stepping stone job since then. Although, Washington St could be a step back

Jesus, you’re a fricking moron.
Jones left 5 years ago. Pierce left for a top 10 job in the country. Jewett is trying to leave because he’s close to being fired.

And they've done literally nothing since Jones left. Tulane fans hate to hear the truth, which is understandable why you're reacting this way.

A successful coach today at Tulane will always be offered a better opportunity. Let's me honest here

They won the AAC in 2016. Made a bad hire when Pierce left.
You don’t know the truth, you don’t know anything about Tulane baseball.
It took one of the best jobs in the country to lure Pierce away. If Jewett leaves, it’s not for a better opportunity and everyone at Tulane will be happy.

I live 10 minutes from the stadium, but yeah, keep assuming.

Probably should not have passed on Cannizaro the first time.

I think Gautreau should stay at State, he will be getting better offers if he stays there and continues to have success.

Please make this happen. Jewett has been a disappointment.

you work directly next to the Superdome and thought the Saints were gonna take Jarran Reed over Rankins.

i'm not sure your proximity to stuff is helping you that much TBH.
