I have no connection to UNC and I have rooted for their basketball team since I was about nine years old. There are plenty of other things I do that make me more of a douche than that so

i find it odd that a grown person would support a school they have zero connection to.
similar to my friends antonio and mario (neither of whom are italian) when they wear all of their Notre Dame gear.

anyone who roots for LSU in football and baseball and roots for unc in basketball tomorrow is not a real LSU fan and never will be.
I have plenty of reasons to root for other teams( friends that play for other teams/ where i'm from etc.), but I will always be 100 percent LSU unless my kid plays at another school. Even then, I will root against their team and root for LSU and just hope my kid plays well.

I love Louisiana and baton rouge, but I love Destin, FL too. Does that mean that Destin can't be my favorite city?
