I would take either Brady or Manning in their primes to start a franchise, it wouldn't matter which. Bree's would be next and then Arod.

What basis do you have for this? I would love to know.
Again, it's obviously just my opinion but there are a couple of reasons:
1) Brees/Manning seem to be more central pieces of the offense than the other two. You saw what happened when Brady went down for a year, the team still went 11-5 and didn't regress as much as you'd expect, whereas the Colts without Peyton were god awful and couldn't do squat on offense. Saints without Brees would be equally pitiful I'm sure. Rodgers is harder to analyze, but Matt Flynn did come in and have instant success in that offense. That to me shows that Rodgers is maybe not as integral to it as everyone thinks.
2) tonight's game was a good example of this: Brady and Rodgers (especially Brady) seem to spend a lot of time yelling at receivers and what not which really doesn't help anything. Have you ever seen Manning or Brees yell at a receiver? Heck no. Instead they will go over and discuss what went wrong, as opposed to Brady who yells and curses and then goes to sit on a bench and pout by himself.

Y'all want to talk about Brady having shitty receivers?
What about that time Manning's best receiver was Pierre fricking Garcon and manning made him look like a god damn pro bowler.
Manning>Brady and it isn't close.
Lol, this guy isn't smart.

Yep. Instead of going over the routes with the young guys, he looked like a whiny bitch last night.

Drew has never yelled at a wr? Fun fact, Brady flew out all the new relievers to his house and practiced with them, hung out with them, and mentored them. I guess because he didn't media where it up *cough cough we work out as a team even though the NFL is in a labor strike cough cough* it makes him less than a leader.

Yep I'm done with this thread. I respect a good number if the Saints posters on this board, Loose cannon, hoodooman, and Sophrandos come to mind immediately, but this is turning into the definition of saintstards gonna saintstard.

Both will choke in the playoffs.

Yeah because the media never talks about Brady.
I'm not saying Brees >>>>> Brady, but I don't see why people think that the argument is just ludicrous. And of course I'm gonna be biased for my guy like you will with yours etc. Since he's been with the Saints, he's at or near the top of every passing category you can think of. And the argument of 3 rings to 1 is stupid. Considering Brady/Brees/Manning have had some of their best statistical seasons in a non SB winning year.

What about throwing 50 tds in a year?
Randy Moss - the second most gifted wide receiver of all-time behind Megatron - had a way of making quarterbacks look better than they were.

Manning? Are you kidding?
I don't think I've seen Brees do it. However, I'm not sure how much of a barometer this is on the greatness of a QB.

Manning and Rodgers should be your top two. Rodgers has playmaking ability that Manning never had. Just look at what Rodgers has done the last 2-3 years with absolute garbage o-lines. Brady and Brees would have folded. Brady can't do shite when under consistent pressure. Brees tries, but when he presses, he is a turnover machine.

The only time I can recall Drew yelling at anyone was at Jeremy Shockey in 2008 I believe at Atlanta. It was totally Shockey's fault too.
And Peyton yells at Jeff Saturday I know that.

Every quarterback has chastised a fellow offensive player in one way or another. Brady whines like a bitch, Brees makes them do charity work, Manning gives them that big dome scold, Rodgers photobombs them. You know, different forms of punishment and such .

I think Brady is great, but I'm not really sure what this has to do with anything. Brady didn't even play his first two years in college and battled Drew Henson for playing time his final two years.
