Trading him within the division doesn't make much sense unless it's a far superior offer.

Why Roy will be retired before the Astros are relevant.

Maybe, maybe not. How often do you see big-name guys move within their division though?

ETA: And I think it has more to do with the prospects the Reds would have to part with coming back to haunt them.

Jocketty being kinda quiet about the whole situation makes me think the Reds are interested, but I doubt they are willing to part with what the Astros will ask for.

Basically every 'pundit' is talking out of their arse at this point. AOL Fanhouse claims that Oswalt would only approve a trade to the Yankees, Cards, or Nats.

They claim he would like to pitch in DC because of their 'spacious ballpark'...Then why the hell would he want to pitch in the AL in Yankee Stadium of all places.

I'm not believing anything printed until he's wearing a different cap.

I meant to point this out. I can't see Oswalt even agreeing to go the Reds. He's gonna want to go to a team that has a recent of history of being a title contender.

The Nats are the exception, and I'm not totally convinced he would even go there.

That being said, frick Roy Oswalt. frick him in his stupid arse.

Seems to like pitching in Cincinnati, what is his record in the Great American Ballpark?

no Fing way he would go to Cinci and pitch in that launching pad of a park.

IMO he will go to LA/SF/ATL/STL(although they would never trade him there)/Bos/NYY

Well, he is 7-1 with a 3.57 ERA in his career there.

I still don't think he's gonna be a Red though.

True. He would be facing teams with a less potent offense.
