Not even going to bother watching Jones and Torre's new show. I don't need or want comedy with my sports.

Has any of the talent ESPN or FOX let go of landed anywhere else?

Which is why I don't bother watching much of these same old repetitive shows anymore. I don't mind a little humor here and there like Pardon The Interruption or Around The Horn, but quickly turn the channel if it gets to be too much. Fox Sports Live with the clowns from Canada was impossible to watch.

I'm the opposite of you. I can't stand "sports is life and death" sports talk. I like the guys that can see through the bullshite and call it out. All while making it funny and interesting

Yes i will really be festering over your stick in the mud comedic tastes in 2032

Not sure you understand what Im saying, and that is fine. If you think you'll have the same comedic preferences in 10 years that you do now then you'll likely have not experienced any type of internal growth.

Theyve been getting consistently bigger and better for over a year now. Its not an accident after 100-150 episodes

Im not saying its an accident. Like I said they found a niche and it is working. Who knows if it has staying power. I dont think they they'll want to act like drunk college kids the rest of their life, but that is just my opninon. Id bet they parlay their success into an attempt at something more refined.

Again these guys are smarter than you give them credit for.

Im not saying they aren't smart. Doesnt make them talented at what they do. They invented a template to gain viewership & clicks. Smith and Bayless were once respected(& talented) print journalists before they learned they could troll American sports fans like they do. Now they are simply "made for TV". Their popularity is only as impressive as the people on the other end of it.

It makes them extremely talented at what they do.

That continuously evolves and changes to keep the show fresh.

PMT is far more impressive because they didnt have ESPN as a launch pad. They grew through good writing and promoting. PFT literally got started as a satirist in the PFT comment section and has grown that talent into a show that is pulling in a massive amount of revenue after a year of the show, Big Cat started as a part time blogger at barstool way before they blew up and developed his video/audio talent over a couple years before creating PMT

After well over 100 hours of content, I dont see how you can think its just dumb luck

Bomani Jones is a racist piece of trash

No he's not, he's just smarter and richer than you'll ever be.

He's the best media talent (he, Pablo and Lebetard) to surface in years

Those were your words, not mine.

I said they found their niche and are riding the popularity of it. I don't think it's dumb luck as im sure they've worked hard.

They've evolved quite a bit. You may disagree, but I think they do a good job of not running jokes into the ground. For example, they used to end every interview with "do you wash your apples?" and "who's the most famous person in your cell phone?" and they've retired both.
