Of course Missouri has a baseball program and Tony played there for 3 years and was an assistant there for 8 seasons.

Now if there's some bad blood that's a different story.

Vitello got DONGed to death. Captain America hit more DONGs than the Giants SCORED RUNS. Ouch.

He'll be back in the SEC by January. Probably at Arkansas at the rate they are going.

Unless the team totally turns on him a la Urban Meyer, I see him getting 2 yrs. But I could also see him getting blown out by August if he wins 15 games and all the players loathe him. If that happens he'll be the Arkansas coach next year after Dave Van Horn finally hangs it up.

Never really got this hire. Vitello is kind of like the baseball Nick Saban. He won in college with incredible recurring and talent and being an a-hole.

That shite doesn't work with grown men over 162 games, especially when you're limited to a draft and mid-market payroll.

he reminds me more of urban

Saban didn’t translate to the pros but I could see why someone might consider it
Urban also recruited at a high level and was a total dick, his personality reminds me more of Tony v than Saban

A baseball manager is the most irrelevant and inconsequential coach in any sport.

The GM dictates how many games a team wins. If SF sucks, blame Buster Posey, ownership, or the scouting dept.
