They make you go so long without college football that it makes you look forward to a game like Hawaii and Colorado State as if it's a huge deal.

Wow! Most of the game's best rivalries are slated for the last week of the season but we're getting the best rivalry in all of sports in Week 1???!!!

Colorado State plays next Saturday, then again on Friday, 8/31. I wonder if any school has ever played 2 games in the month of August before...


Edit...I see New Mexico State is playing next Saturday, then the following Thursday 8/30, so that would make 2 this year alone.

That is exactly what I am saying.

Honestly, the AAC probably didn't want us blowing another late November, freezing game with all of our Florida kids. That happened in 2014 and it probably cost the AAC the Fiesta Bowl. I'm ok with that because Boise was definitely the better team that year and deserved it.
