Tom Curran says Patriots never reached out or negotiated
who knows if that's legit, though.

In the end, a tangible effort by the Patriots to keep Tom Brady in New England never happened. No negotiation. Just the intimation that it was on Brady to say what he wanted. For Brady, that stance spoke volumes.

Jets and Giants have good young QB's.

Darlington on ESPN has been on top of this and he says tom wants to stay close to New York. So... The jets?
No way in hell. That is something that would piss most of his fans off.

NFC South about to be lit

I could see it. Belichick is known to remove people a year early than a year late. The Pats also had zero talent at the offensive positions, and no money to work with. As soon as McCourty was paid and a franchise tag was placed on Thuney I knew he was gone. Just not enough money.

What a dumb azz. He’s going to finish his career as a loser. All for a few more dollars which he really doesn’t need.

He’s likely setting up the next chapter in his life as well as trying to prove he’s still got it. Dude should be admired for his drive and determination IMO

Why is Kraft such a cuck? He owns the team yet always defers to BB.
Imagine defering to one of the best coaches EVER.

Still remember this. What a run. Unfortunately I was sick as a dog during that Super Bowl and didn't get to watch. Seems like an eternity ago.

Saw a tweet saying someone talked to Tom Sr a while back, saying Brady and BB never had a personal relationship since BB knew he would have to say goodbye to him at some point.
I mean, I get this to a point with other players, makes it easier to avoid making emotional decisions as far as personnel, but I think he missed the mark playing it cool with Brady.

t’s pretty public knowledge that Kraft wanted to keep Brady
Yeah back in 2016.
Plus this was Brady’s decision not Belichick’s.

Outside of nostalgia idk why any real patriots fan would want him back. He is 43, was mediocre at best last year, isnt getting any younger and arm isnt getting any stronger.

I had talked myself into thinking he was full of shite about leaving
Pretty surprised at this

Posted on 3/17/20 at 8:38 am to oleyeller
He was the Super Bowl MVP 13 months ago and had zero weapons last year
