Obviously, it will happen because he's the GOAT in the NFL, but he was pretty average at MIchigan.
He was good, but Lloyd Carr also screwed him hard with Henson.

Testerverde is the number 16th all time passing TD's, he is number 14 all time in yards. So what are you talking about?
It's easy to have high numbers like that when people keep paying you to be mediocre.
He played for 8 different teams, only made the pro bowl twice, played 21 years and only had 4 seasons with a winning record as a starter, and had a losing record in the playoffs.
Oh, and he holds the record for most losses as a starting QB.
It's amazing Vinny lasted as long as he did, because he wasn't a good QB.

You don't stay in the league as long as he did and not be "good". No no nothing more than just "good"

"That's interesting," Brady mused, with a sly smile. "Why aren't there a lot of Ohio State quarterbacks in the pros? Lot of Michigan guys over the years but not a lot of Ohio State guys."

So what made him good?
His average stat line for his career was 16/28 for 198 yards with 1 TD and 1 Int. Not bad, but not amazing either.
He threw more interceptions than TDs in a season 11 times in his career.
He was in the Top 10 in passing only 4 times, and the Top 5 once.
But most importantly, he had a losing record--by 33 games.
90-123-1 (0.421 win %)
Now consider that he went 12-1 in 1998, and 10-6 in 2001.
That means over the other 19 years of his career, he was 68-116-1 (0.368 win %).
He's the only QB in the history of the league to start at least 200 games and not win 100 (13 other QBs with at least 200 starts). Warren Moon is the only other QB with more than 200 starts and a losing record (105-108).
Maybe he just didn't have good teams. Maybe he had bad defenses, although that argument on this board would be ironic to say the least.
So how was he "good"? He was an average journeyman at best.
