He was practically a spectator in Super Bowl 50. 194 total yards in offense for the Broncos in that game and only 11 first downs. The defense won that one. If you're going to penalize Brady in this discussion for the strength of his defenses, you have to do the same for Peyton Manning in Super Bowl 50.

Yes...Super Bowls are team accomplishments. Offense, defense, and special teams need outstanding players performing at their peak to ensure victory. But there is a special premium at the QB position as many of these playoff games come down to the final drive.
If your team doesn't have a franchise QB, chances are it's not going to win a Super Bowl. Take a look at the final four QBs in this year's playoffs: Brady, Roethlisberger, Ryan, and Rodgers were all franchise QBs.
In fact, you have to go all the way back to the year 2002 to find a non-franchise QB (Doug Johnson, Tampa Bay) that quarterbacked his team to a Super Bowl victory.
Defensive players, wide receivers, and running backs come and go. But if you don't have stability at that QB position with a franchise player, chances are you aren't going to a Super Bowl, let alone winning one.

That's why stats and rings are the best judge of a QB. Post-season awards mean nothing because of how subjective they are. There is always debate as to whether or not a player deserved to be the MVP. There is never any doubt about who wears the ring.

Brady's 1st SB and Manning's last, their playoff stats are almost identical, so can you honestly say Brady's 1st ring was his?

Wes Welker was a fantastic receiver. He was really good before coming to NE and really good when he left. All you had to do was actually watch him play to see it.
Welker's biggest knock is the perception that he's not as good because he's white. Which is prejudice. You know what's up.
