There are some score watching mouthbreathers up in here right now shitting on a great course and tournament.

JT was going to demolish any course that he played today. He was knocking pins down from 288 and 300 yds. No course can compete with that.

Hoffman looks like he should be in a bowling alley, not a golf course.

You seem to really like it. I get it. But 280 doesn't mean shite to me. Having 15 players or more that can win at this point in a tournament means it hasn't even begun to identify a great player. It's the shell Houston open at some point!

When Charlie had his long hair he looked even more out of place.

I don't think you know what you're talking about.

Your issue isn't with the golf course. It's with the USGA.

The USGA today is not the USGA of 10 or especially 30 years ago. The days of manipulating courses to produce the highest possible score are gone.

If they wanted to do so this course could be set up hard enough to produce way over par scores.

They don't do that anymore.

Oakmont last year was nothing like Oakmont 2007. Congressional 2011 was miles easier than most tour events at Congressional.

The USGA you loved is dead

Yep. I went to Winged Foot in 2006. That rough and 22yd wide fairways didn't reward good play. It was who got lucky.

There was a lost ball penalty taken that week on a shot that landed less than 2 yds off a 27yd wide fairway.

Crazy that tournament was almost won by a guy who only hit 2 fairways on Sunday

I was a golf course superintendent for
over 25 years...you might want to back off your previous statement. We might be coming from a different place and that's fine. I'll respect your opinion if you'll respect mine. Deal?

8 of the top 12 players in the world couldn't even break par out here, yet it's basically the Shell Houston open...

Thank you, Paul Azinger, for bringing us this cutting edge information.

This has been a great tournament thus far with so many players in contention. I hope it's this close tomorrow.

I mean, they could make a couple of the par 5s par 4s in order to protect par. But that's just dumb. People are playing well and the greens are perfect. Gimme that all day over the crappy Chambers Bay greens that make it easier to protect par.

I wonder if Tommy Fleetwood will ever move over to the PGA tour. The dude is a player.

I'm all aboard the Fleetwood train. My $ on him making a top 10 in this tourney helps.

Anyone else hear the "Don't... stop... thinking about tomorrow" in the gallery on his last drive?
