I'm really starting to enjoy the feel of this tournament. Seems like I'm most years, par is a good score. And at the end of a round, cards are littered with pars.
Par really isn't a great score here. These guys are playing aggressive and birdies are all over the place. But screw up and you are potentially frickED. It keeps them playing a fun brand of golf while also maintaining some of the scary aspects of a US Open.

Like what they said. Bad shots are penalized. Good shots are rewarded.

But I REALLY didn't understand the Rory love. Hasn't played much. Coming off injury. And has been experimenting with putters.
