I had a talk with a good friend in Pittsburgh last night and he thinks the Falcons are a real first and second round threat in the playoffs, well depending on tomorrows outcome.

To be fair, the way the chips fall could really help them. It's not outside of the realm of possibility that they HOST the NFC CG.

If Detroit wins, they're 2nd seed assuming Seattle takes care of business. GB 6th seed, Arizona 5th. Arizona @ ATL first round. Pretty easy win, the Cards are the weakest team in the NFC playoffs. Assume GB beats Dallas. GB @ Sea, ATL @ DET. it would be pretty tough to beat Deteoit, but again, the Falcons kinda equipped to do it. Atlanta's defense is terrible but So is Detroit's offense (somehow). Falcons OL would be a major X factor, but I put this in the "winnable" category.

Then there's GB @ SEA. Seattle is hot right now, but what people are neglecting to point out is that their last 9 games have all been against really bad QBs. They were 3-3 playing against good QBs like Rodgers, manning, Romo, etc. it would be tough for GB to win but I don't think they lose to sea twice in one season.

So let's imagine this. If all that happened (it's a pretty long shot, but not outside of the realm of possibility), the 7-9 Falcons host the 11-5 Packers in the NFC CG. the meltdown would be glorious.

Of course, all of this is irrelevant because the fighting Cam's are gonna take care of business tomorrow.

Ummm. Arizona might have double the amount of wins ATL does this time tomorrow and they play in the toughest division in the league.
