I suppose that means Hield is off the table now.

No, that’s the team who played 8 games together.
Try running that through 82 games.
You continue to shine

Hield theoretically could still be in play depending on what they do with Schroder. But they probably need another team involved now for that to have a remote chance of happening

Lakers did a pretty good job filling out the roster considering their cap situation. Biggest knocks are lack of defense from their wings and depth at center. Curious to see what the starting five looks like. Maybe something like…

This is going to be interesting to watch. There’s almost no cap room available now and he’s probably going to have to take a MLE unless the Lakers can swing a 3 team S&T
I highly doubt he returns to the Lakers on a cheap deal as a 6th man after turning down 4/$84

There’s no earthly way they can get Hield at this point. Schroeder for Hield is not an even trade at all. Lakers don’t have any other assets to trade

two years ago they were projected as a top 3 seed and then ended up as one of the worst teams in the league.
Yeah, there were no other factors that contributed to this

yea def improved shooting but defense is questionable.
getting THT locked in would be solid
who knows what they do with Schroeder. a lot of contract value if they keep him even though he's a nut job

And check that, appears all of the Lakers FA additions have been for the minimum.
Taxpayer MLE of $5.9M sill available for LA to add some more talent.

Keith Smith @KeithSmithNBA Schroder should run it back with the Lakers for a one-year payday. He can go back to being a 6th MOY contender and then hit the market again next summer. Might not be a better role out there for him at this point.

Bulls defense last season:
PnR ball handlers: 0.92 PPP allowed (27th)
PnR roll men: 1.25 PPP allowed (29th)
Much of both stems from guards being poor at POA. I get why Caruso being viewed as overpay but can play w/ any of Bulls guards and helps one of team's biggest weaknesses
quote:
Bulls also guarded highest frequency of PnR roll man (7.7%) and second-highest frequency of PnR ball handler (21.7%) possessions in NBA last season. Teams spammed action against them.
Lonzo and Caruso will be a huge help with this.

That’s a 3-5 seed roster, IF the retirement home squad remains healthy.
Injuries to LeBron or AD and they’re not making the playoffs.

Yahoo Sources: Free agent star DeMar DeRozan plans to meet with the Los Angeles Clippers today.

The Clippers have serious interest in DeRozan, @ChrisBHaynes reports, but clearly lack the financial flexibility to make a robust offer.
Chicago has the sign-and-trade lure to entice San Antonio's buy-in with Lauri Markkanen, but the Bulls must convince DeRozan to choose them.

Cranjis just sent Lakers Twitter into a frenzy because he said Monk was a shitty defender

Derozan to bulls
3/85
Bulls sent Young, a 1st and 2 2nds in a S&T

They can make a push for a 4 or 5 seed if things go their way.
