Dolphins have been linked to Tua, Burrow, Herbert, and an OT in the top 5. Smokescreens all over the place
Edit: missed the earlier post about Dolphins wanted #3 & #5 for a deal for the #1 overall pick
With the talk of the trade, it does bring into question which course of action would be preferred by the Bengals.
I'd assume they're rather stay put at #1 - just because they're rather have the 1 large contract instead of 2 slightly smaller contracts.
And it throws into question whether the Dolphins managment is competent (I mean, they could have "won" the #1 overall pick but screwed that up too).
Big props for trying for it (and while I hate to say it, props to the Falcons for their rumored attempt to get up to #2 overall for Chase Young).

CBS' Jonathan Jones reports the Browns at No. 10 "could be the move" for the Falcons to move up from No. 16
Jones believes the Falcons could have their eyes on Florida CB C.J. Henderson or LSU EDGE K'Lavon Chaisson. The Falcons have tried to beat back the narrative they are desperate to move up, but it has been one of this week's most persistent storylines. We don't have to wait much longer to find out.

That one would make me think a bit.

The Falcons need to trade down and accumulate as much cheap talent as possible.
I like Chaisson and am lukewarm on Henderson. Wouldn't mind either at 16. But trading up for one of them would be astronomically stupid.

What does this even mean?

they have had months to prepare player rankings. why would he need them the night of the draft?

that being said. this is the biggest sporting event for some time and foreseeable. wont shock me if jerry tries to trade up and steal the show to draft tua.

Jerry is going balls deep on getting Jamal Adams.
And if the Falcons are moving up it’s probably for Henderson or Diggs. They didn’t get rid of Vic Beasley just to bring back Vic Beasley 2.0

In theory that is good, but let's just say one of the most talented kids slips a bit, but isn't at a position of need. For some reason let's say Simmons falls into the 20s. I would want my experts in the room even if I had the best LBing core in the league.

depends on if he has been arrested before. if yes, welcome to the cowboys!

Moving up for Trevon Diggs would be one of the worst draft trades in history because he's almost guaranteed to be there at 16.
They need to move down into the 20s (Minnesota at 22?) and take Kenneth Murray while adding a few picks.

The falcons have been chasing that trade up high ever since the Julio trade

He’s one of those guys who will pop up and I’ll be like “damn he’s still there??”

And why wouldn't you have fleshed this all out beforehand? You don't throw it to Billy Joe scout to ask if he would make a trade or pick.

I’d file this in the category as “right on brand”, I’m told the Texans have called some teams to trade up into the first round. Bill O’Brien never scared to make a trade. #Texans
Dianna Russini saying Bill O'Brien trying to get back into the first round. The Texans won't have any more draft picks for the next five years.

The more this saga continues, the more I think he is a plant sent to destroy the Texans franchise.
